Westwood Golf Club

Good rate from site, 3:00 tee time, which was in the heart of Sunday golf. Made for slow play and twosome we were paired with added to slow play. But not Westwood fault, as players skill level can’t be evaluated. Course was good, and staff friendly and accommodating.

Course was in good conditions, roughs were long, lost some balls in them on totally open course.

Pace of play was bad, took us 4.5 hours on a tuesday morning to play. I felt rush bc people behind us, while we were waiting on group ahead of us to finish out

All in all i would play again

Tee boxes were coarse and there was no reason to have cart path only restrictions.

Played a Saturday morning. Beautiful course. Greens were perfect and challenging.

Westwood is a great local golf course with a friendly staff that go out of their way to make your golf and after golf drinks and food very enjoyable.

Greens are so hard and sloped u cant hold them ... this aint Augusta!

We had a long frost delay the morning we played. I’m not sure it needed to be as long as it was but we still had a good time. The greens rolled well, the fairways were in ok shape, I guess I expected a bit more well manicured fairway but it was fine overall. The pace of play was fine considering the long delay and the line of people backed up on the 1st tee, the rangers were active.

Beautiful day to play golf, the only reason I stayed for all 18, started my day by waiting 30+ minutes on the first tee box because they were backed up, once a course has a rain delay they should stop taking tee times, I was able to book 45 minutes prior to my tee slot, either way, waited 5-15 minutes on every tee box, course is in good shape, they just need to value the customers time a little more instead of jamming as many tee times in as possible to make a little extra money, they should be more concerned with peoples overall experience.

Tee times schedules every 8 minutes, had 3:36 tee time and didn’t tee off until 3:50. And the starter asked us to tee off then we had to stand one the first tee for 5 minutes and wait for a cart. Poor management.

I drove an hour to play only to be told at check in that there was a girl's high school event at the course and we would be playing the back twice. Since this seemed to be a last minute addition, on the "turn" we were put in line with the players who had later tee times and still waiting to go off. This was almost a 6 hour round!!

Walked the course, a fair amount of hills but nothing back-breaking.

They had recently aerated when I played, so greens were still quick but weren't as fast as they are known to normally be, but still rolled true.

Some holes require local knowledge or GPS to play smart. Some tricky approach shots to tiered greens above or below you. Not just a bomb and gouge course. Enjoyed it, staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely play again.
