Fall Golf
The Fall golf season is one of my favorite times to play because of good course conditions and of course the weather. The course was in great shape. Greens ran true and the fairways and tee boxes for the most part were in great shape. However, there were a few tee boxes that were in rough shape but that was due to on-going maintenance to these areas. There are two holes in particular that always make tee shots almost impossible. The par 3 11th is a very tight hole to begin with but when there is a pin placement on the left side of the green and you have multiple large limbs over hanging about 50 yards infront of the tee box along the left side, it makes your tee shot almost impossible. The 18th tee had the same issue. Large branches over hanging the left side which make it almost impossible to get a good tee shot off. It almost forces you to aim down the right side which puts you in the rough. I'm all for having a golf course make you play golf shots, however, when you know you hit a good shot and things beyond your control happen it makes it frustrating. Aside from the nit picking, Westwood has always been a staple in my courses to play because of the great conditions.
Unfair greens
I think that this course is extremely challenging because of the greens. There is way too much slope and they are way too fast. If you are above the hole, the ball better go in or it's gone. They are in decent shape, just too fast. The course used to be in great shape in past years, but only ok now. It will have to be a great price for me to come back to get tortured by these greens again. Right now, I don't want to go there again.

The greens are smooth but to fast for all the greens with down hill lies you cannot stop the ball no matter how soft you and the ball rolls off the green

The two concerns I had were about certain greens.
The design/position of 3 greens was my biggest concern. Two holes are designed with sunken/out of site greens. That is seldom found on even the lesser golf courses. Not having some view of the green is a problem. There also is a par 3 with no view of the green.
I really like the tight view of several Tees.
There are several greens where the
Breaks are too severe. The best cources don’t have those extreme breaks. Pin placement can correct some of that issue. I actually had a 25 -30 foot uphill/side hill/downhill to the left putt. My line was 8-10 feet to the right. Very rare for most courses.

They book 4 some tee times 7 mins apart. Safe to say we waited on every hole

wednesday round at westwood
not a bad day on the course greens were fast and in great condition, fairways were coming back nicely but tees were chewed up and muddy.....this course would be a gem if they would pave the cart paths and redesign the 11th hole otherwise this course is moving in the right direction!

Was my First time there excellent course greens were the fastest I ever played but very challenging and fun well kept of course can't wait to go back

Overall the course was in great shape, a couple of burnt out areas and tee boxes. when the cart paths are addressed the course will be one of the gems of south jersey. Keep up the good work.

Great course difficult putting
Course is fun and in great shape. Most greens are very difficult to putt on.

Delayed and slow
We had an afternoon tee time and expected slow play, but didn’t tee off until 20 min past the tee time and then proceeded to take 2:35 min to play the front 9. We were waiting on every hole and never saw the ranger. The course is in ok shape and has some fun holes, but the pace, delay and lack of refreshments on the course max it an overall disappointing round.
