Westwood Golf Club

The pin placements were very difficult. If you don't hit your ball beneath the pin, you mind as well add a stroke to the score card.

Few things a couple tee boxes need done trees cut down or back very tight of the tees. Couple of fairways were loaded with bees and hornets it looked like might want to spray

Westwood is basically a local course, right in the neighborhood. However, it’s provides all level golfers a good challenge, excellent greens and interesting layout. Very good clubhouse and pro shop.

I have been playing at Westwood since I got into the game 5 years ago. It's a relatively easy course that keeps you engaged on every shot, but doesn't ask a lot of you. It's just long enough to get you using every club in the bag, and has enough tricky spots that it may take 2-3 rounds to learn all the places you can't go.

You can get to almost all the greens in two (except perhaps the 3rd) so they've made the course play tougher on the greens. Greens here roll a full point quicker then most in the area, the slopes have been become much more defined in the past 12 months, but they remain receptive. Leave yourself above the hole and 3 putts will be plentiful.

Rain in morning but our 1236 tee time was right on time went off as a twosome but joined up with a single at the seventh hole. Course was wet but even with cart path only still finished in less then 4 hours. Price was great for a veteran and quest

The layout was good, but not particularly challenging. Absolutely fun course to play and a great option for the money. The greens are the most challenging part of the course, running fast and true. A few of the hole locations were low key unplayable though. Will definitely be back.

The course in great condition and the greens are fast! Pace of play was super slow. We need to tell the starter twice to move a foursome ahead because they were hacking.

Usually I have good things to say about Westwood, but that round was tough due to white tee positions being further back than usual and tough hole positions. It does not make it a good round when you walk off 18 after 3 putting because despite being 7 ft from hole you miss your first put by 6-7 inches and end up being 30+ feet away for your second putt.

The staff have put a lot of work into this course over the last 2 years and wow you can tell! Tee boxes and fairways look great. Biggest improvement is on the greens, roll true, tough and challenging! Nice new addition around most greens have a first and even second cut around entry. This makes pitches and chips around the green a lot of fun. Only concern was pace of play group in front of us was jammed up from a group in front of them.. etc. Overall highly recommend playing Westwood Summer 2022.

Wet day but course held up to the weather. I didn’t care for cart path only but necessary

This is definitely a shorter and friendly course for novice golfers. I have played this course for years and was always very forgiving. The owners are letting the grass grow out in more of the course making it harder if you go off fairway but only in select positions. They have taken a good amount of trees and traps out to reward being in the fairway and allowing the white tees to be backed up into longer positions that were previously blocked out due to large trees.

For longer hitters this is more of a 3W to wedge or long iron to wedge course. Great for working on your longer irons and full wedge/52/56. Greens are tricky with the landscape and can give false reads but rolled well. I will continue to rotate this course into summer rounds especially for golfing with more novice golf partners.
