Disappointed
Played yesterday afternoon. Cart path only but we weren’t told until starter mentioned it on first hole. We should have been made aware before we paid our money because I’d rather walk when it’s CPO…it’s quicker and could have saved money on cart rental for 3 people. Then the starter put an 80 something year old man in our group. The poor guy had a really tough time walking from the path to his ball on the other side of fairway. He wasn’t told it was CPO and if I was working the cash register in that joint and saw this poor old guy walking in; I would have had enough common sense to make him aware. I felt bad for the guy and my son was running his clubs out to him on multiple occasions. They poor old guy couldn’t play anymore after 7 holes because walking from path to his ball had tired him out. And the course was dry by late afternoon. I can understand CPO in the morning after the heavy rain the night before but by 5PM it was in good shape and had dried out. The course does look nicer these days and I typically enjoy Westwood but yesterday was very disappointing.
Trees removed
The removal of trees and the trimming of bushes open the course up and made play faster the four of us played in 3.5 hours which was great since we started about noon and finished at 330. Some areas still spotted and greens slower then 2 weeks ago but I miss the tree on 15

Good value
Fun layout with greens and fairway in good condition. Some tee boxes were in bad shape and the bunkers didn’t have much sand but overall I would recommend.

free beer and 10% off food in the club house with the receipt good deal pace of play was slow however they did get us out early

Improvements made
You can definitely se that the new owners are trying to improve the course. Golf was in pretty good shape. Drainage was an issue on a few holes and some green side bunkers need sand in them. Overall it has improved since playing there over 2 years ago. Just need more Hot Deal times for the course for it to be truly worth it.

Solid Course with Great Greens
1st time at Westwood. Playing the black Tees course had enough length to be challenging. It was high 90’s but the greens were awesome as they were watering during the day. They held! Still sneaky quick. though. Course overall was in really nice shape. Hope to get out there again.

Nice course. Challenging lay out. Greens in great condition. Pin positions very difficult. Penalizes good puts.

Westwood upgrade
The course was is in better shape then it has in years. Clubhouse staff very helpful. Starter helpful and, friendly. The problem we had was the ranger. we played at a four hour clip and, he was still hounding us. I have never had this problem. We were playing with a couple of nice black fellows, who said they have had this happen before. whether that was the problem or not, he ruined a perfectly beautiful day. I will not return for a long time.
