Due to aeration of the greens they were hard extremely fast
The pin locations were on slopes thus very difficult to putt
I thought it was set up for a tournament
Truly unreal I spoke to players ahead n behind my group they viewed it the same
Monday at Westwood
We were a three some Keith an early morning tee time. Pace of play was average. We started running outta gas at 16 so, we had slowed a bit. No pressure from the guys behind us.
There were some great improvements made since I last played here. Some great cleanups around shrubbery and thinning of the trees made pace of play less hindered by compromised shots. Very welcome to see it. Still, there’s some other areas that could be looked at.
It was Monday, so with the restaurant closed, we left for a sit down restaurant in town. I really need to try another day so I can check out their restaurant.

It’s mediocre
The course is way over charging for $71, it’s actually sad. Beat up tee boxes, greens have old aeration holes and a lot of divot marks on them. The fairways are ok, it’s just not a $71 course, it’s a rip off. They also don’t allow outside food/drink but they don’t also offer a cart girl. There’s only 1 chance to get food or drink on the course.

Great course, diabolical greens
The course is in fantastic condition. Wide open with relatively few hazards so you won’t go through a dozen golf balls. The greens are incredibly fast, and several of the holes were cut on the edge of a ridge. I had probably 5 second putts which were longer than my first putt. That said, we played in less than 4 hours on a fall Friday.

Little tired
Place is getting beat up and the greens fee for the product are too high

all great except the pace
decent conditions, challenging holes and great weather. It was a Sunday afternoon though and the pace of play was slow. Will be back ... a local favorite

Great golf experience except for evil hole positions
Course conditions were good, pace was ok but it was a Saturday, but hole positions were hellish. It’s not fun when you miss the hole by inches and then watch the ball roll 10-15 feet away and realize your next putt is longer than previous one or is now off the green; which happened to my playing partners more than once.

Great things ar Westwood
Played here on a beautiful day in late September. The course conditions have improved considerably over the past year. The greens were pretty fast but ran true. Several of the greens have too much slope for the average golfer, especially at the last 2 holes. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming which makes playing Westwood a great experience. Give the course a shot. The folks are really looking to improve the player’s experience. Thanks

I always have a good round on this course
This is my third time playing Westwood and I love it also the staff is very polite and helpful.

Westwood Review
I like to play this course as it is close to home and convenient. What I don't like is they schedule the tee times to close together which creates backlogs on the course.
Tee times are scheduled 8 minutes apart which is to close together. Tee times should be 15 minutes apart. I understand the goal of maximizing revenue but it is not an enjoyable experience when play is backed up.
In addition, there is no beverage cart on the course and players are not permitted to bring coolers even if they only contain water.

Good management
It is clear that the relatively new owners are much more friendly than the past family-owned venture and they are keen on improving the course conditions and overall experience. There is also a new setup for carts which works well. We had lunch at the newly remodeled bar/restaurant and that was great too.

Tired of slow play
Getting real tired of 5 hour rounds on a weekday. Finally saw ranger on 15 he did nothing a complete hole open in front of this group and had no balls to say anything to them. Just watch for a second went back to clubhouse.

Not nearly as bad as some people are saying
The course was in fine shape for the time of year and the price we paid. I saw all of the complaints and was concerned before I got there but those concerns were overblown. The greens were good enough and the fairways were fine. The pace was slow because the course was really crowded but that was probably due to perfect weather and the absence of an Eagles' game.
