Most of the holes were in great shape! under repair however you can still play.
Most of the holes were in great shape! There are few holes that are under repair however you can still play off of the repair parts however not the best situation.
The staff is excellent, the course is a nice lay out and you can see they are putting money into the course to make upgrades.

Bumpy greens
One hole had completely dead sod from last season. Greens are bumpy and inconsistent. Seemed like they’re restructuring cart paths at the moment. Has potential to be a nice course but only time will tell.

Needs a lot of work
I’ve been playing Westwood my entire life. It’s nice to see progress being made with cart paths, and the greens were in above average condition and rolled pretty fast. They have a lot of work to do with fairways (#7 was a disaster) and with bunkers. If not for the nostalgia of growing up learning the game on this course, I probably would not go back any time soon.

Unusual conditions
This was one of hundreds of rounds I’ve played on this course but one of only a few since new management took over a couple of years ago. I stopped playing here regularly last year because the price had gotten out of line with the quality of the course, but this time I got a hot deal, so I figured what the heck.
This is a short.and easy course other than the greens, some of which have significant slope and can be quite challenging. The greens had been aerated within the last week but were actually better than I expected in that regard. A couple of tees and fairways, however, were covered in brown sod and a few of the greens were pretty spotty.
They had put in some new paved cart paths and were in the process of rebuilding some of the bunkers for this round.
Pace of play was another issue this round. I didn’t expect a 5 hour round on a Weekday.
This can be a nice little course when in good condition. Perhaps later in the season when the construction is done and the grass has grown in a bit more. The new management seems to be putting some money into the course but the greenskeeper needs to step up his game.

So so
Course was crowded but that was to be expected. Seem the sod they laid down in the fall didn't take. Some of the tee boxes seemed to be dead. Hopefully they can recover

Beautiful day to play
Great weather led to a great day at this course. My ONE complaint being, hole placement on sloped greens. They were too fast to hold, subsequently having a two of four putt finish. If you want faster play and still have challenges, a flat smooth surface is just as challenging. Just my two cents. That and move the White Tee markers over to the Ladies/Senior Tee box on 12. There’s still a challenge, just not the double whammy of a narrow fairway shot, that needs to draw (left) to continue on the fairway. We played using the Senior Tees.
Glad to see the lunch cart open. A beer and a dog always hits the spot.

Pouring rain and won’t close
I had a 11:12 tee time via Golfnow. It started raining at 10 and by 11 it was raining harder. It has poured since. 1-2 inches and they won’t close so they don’t lose the green fee. No refund for me ! Greedy. It will be a while before I book Westwood
Why don’t you grow up and call the course instead of whining online. Very nice staff will help you out. Never “lost” a greens fee there. Bad review by you.
Brutal course
Our tee time was delayed an hour because of “frost delay” when in reality they just overbook and can’t handle it. Don’t play here brutal conditions
Wah wah frost delays are actually real and they happen often. If you sleep until 1030 am you will miss it and live in a world where you don’t know they exist. Go annoy another course I love this place!

Course was in good condition for early March. Was a little disappointed that there was no practice range.
