This was a surprising nice course with great view of the Mississippi River valley and bluffs. Definitely a course that you need to play a couple of times to get to know. The hole playing tips were on the scorecard which is always appreciated. No GPS....I don't operate a course but GOS on the carts should just be standard by now (in my opinion). I'll be back to play it again. It was worth the hour drive to play a nice round here. Fortunately for me, the two young men that I was paired up with had played the course several times before. You really don't need your Driver on a lot of the holes and ball placement off of the tee is crucial for scoring well on this course.
Beautiful Course at Great Value
Senior rate with cart was $45. Heavily wooded with sloped terrain above the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin. We were greeted by an employee who grabbed our bags and loaded them on the golf cart and declined a tip when offered. The course was in excellent condition. This was my first time playing the course. Oftentimes you must fit your drive into a narrow slot to avoid rolling sideways into the rough and having trees blocking your approach shot to green. The greens were sloped and often difficult to read, breaking in the opposite direction of what I thought. Some putts seemed to break 90 degrees when the ball neared the hole, leaving you 5 feet from the hole. It's fun to play, but you'll need to play it a few times to get a feel for the unique terrain on the course.
Elevation!
Saw this course being promoted on Social Media. Even thought it was 1.5 hr drive, it was a family trip with my wife and twenty-something sons. Even though the facilities look dated (including the entrance to the winding road to the best of the Mount, the course was…ok. The fairways and tee boxes were in great shape the greens were nothing to write home about, but weee not horrible. If this course was close to me, I’d play it regularly. Looks like they have regulars and great pricing. Overall, it’s worth playing it at least once!
Great views
Played 2 rounds in one day. The course took my lunch both times. Very fun. Very challenging for a driver challenged fellow like myself. The roughs are punishing between the thick grass and trees. Plenty of awesome views. Had lunch between rounds. Food was pretty good and the drinks were cheap. Staff and locals were friendly. A very fun and affordable experience overall. Its a little out of the way but I hope to be back soon
Great day!
We had a great time playing this course. Scenery is beautiful, staff is very friendly and the course was in great condition. The greens were a little slow but still putted true. Overall a great experience. Can't wait to go back.
Hidden Gem on the Bluffs
This course is in very good shape, and a great value. This course is a hidden gem, condition and grrens (while a bit slow) roll pure . If you are looking for golf aling the river this is the place

Great Course. Love the layout and the natural surroundings. Peaceful and relaxing course to play and enjoy nature
Challenging
Some narrow tree lined fairways, blind shots, doglegs, and greens that are tough to hold and even harder to read the breaks. If you can consistently hit it straight you'll enjoy getting to the greens before those who find the trees. And be ready for hilly lies and hitting up the hills and then down. Fun course.
Rough round
Love playing this course. However the grass was long and thick throughout the course. Easy to lose your ball in. We found plenty as we searched for ours. Greens were slower than most courses. We will definitely try it again to see if Sunday was a fluke.
