Excellent condition for public course
weather was terrific, fairways and greens well maintained.
Nice Course !
Love this Golf course, it's wide & long course, condition is good !
sure will come back to play !!!
Nice day
Great day, course in great shape. greens are huge.
OK but condition of greens are so auful!!
I had a good time play this golf course. Fairway was not bad for maitaining condition but greens were so bad after airification.
POOR TEE TIME SCHEDULING
TEE TIME OF 1:48. PLAYED FIRST SIX HOLES AND HAD PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.
THEN WE REACHED TEE # 7 WHEREBY WE DISCOVERED A FOURSOME WHICH WAS APPARENTLY THE LAST GROUP IN AN OUTING. AN OUTING ON A FRIDAY. ?????
TOTALLY RIDICULOUS. AFTER THREE EXCRUCIATINGLY SLOW HOLES BEHIND THE GROUP, I ENTERED THE PRO SHOP, VOICING MY CONCERN AND IRRITATION, WAS INFORMED BY A RATHER FLIPPANT, ARROGANT "MANAGER" WHO INFORMED ME THAT THE OUTING SHOULD BE ON THE BACK NINE BY ONE O'CLOCK. NO CONCILIATORY BEHAVIOR. SIMPLY TOTAL DEFENSIVENESS.
IF I WERE IN THAT POSITION, I WOULD AT LEAST OFFER RAIN CHECKS. I SUPPOSE UNMITIGATED GREED PREVAILS IN EVEN RECREATIONAL ASPECTS OF OUR SOCIETY.
NOW THE ISSUE WHICH THE "MANAGER" COULD NOT APPARENTLY COMPREHEND. WHEN PEOPLE CALL ABOUT TEE TIMES, THEY SHOULD BE INFORMED THAT THERE IS AN OUTING SCHEDULED THAT DAY. AT LEAST THE PEOPLE SO INFORMED CAN DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT TO PLAY ON THE COURSE ON THAT DAY. SUCH A DISCLOSURE IS MERELY TOTAL HONESTY. FOR GOLF SHOP PERSONNEL TO NOT SO NOTIFY IS TOTALLY DISHONEST.
Needless to say, the twosome playing with us quit after twelve holes and after two more holes my son and I also quit.
OTHER POINTS:
1. CARTS ARE HOSED DOWN. SHOULD ALSO AT LEAST BE TOWEL DRIED.
2. SCORECARDS SHOULD BE ON EACH CART STEERING WHEEL
3. BEVERAGE CART PERSON SHOWED NO SEMBLANCE OF GOLF ETIQUETTE. DRIVES DIRECTLY INTO PLAYERS TEEING OR HITTING SHOTS WITHOUT STOPPING. SIMPLE REASON WOULD BE HER OWN SAFETY. AS A MATTER OF FACT, PLAYER IN MY GROUP HOOKED A SHOT RIGHT AROUND HER APPROACHING CART.
SHOULD AT LEAST WEAR A HARD HAT OR PROTECTIVE HELMET.
ALL IN ALL, IF I WISH TO PLAY GOLF IN THE FUTURE, SWAN LAKE WOULD BE MY LAST CONSIDERATION OF CHOICE, IF AT ALL.
Good Golf Day
Course was great Everything went well Always look at Golf Now for specials at this course
nice and long

Good Course - Good Conditions
First time playing here and definitely will again!
nice course
Great track greens rolled true fairways in excellent condition well maintaine.fishing was e218chefs great also
Decent day on the links.
Teed off at 10:40. 20 minutes after our 10:20 tee time. Finished at 3:40. 5 hour round. Not a pleasant start to my 4th of July. Played a 2nd round to the tune of a $25 replay rate. Finished this round in under 3 hours. Very enjoyable round. Course condition was an 8/10. Fairways lush. Tee boxes perfect. A few greens looked like they got hammered in the winter. Trying to grow back but not there yet. There is a need for rangers during the peak morning times. Did not see a ranger once.
Greens were hurting
I played this course many times in the past years, never had any complaints. This year the greens were damaged with some kind of disease. Will not play it again until next year, hopefully it'll be resolved by then. All else was average at best.
Early round
Love the course but every time we play there it seems like the mower, the sand trap guy and any other maintence guys follow us throughout the round. Just dumb luck I guess. If this course had a real driving range it would be awesome. We play there a bunch all year long
Disappointed
Not sure where to begin here, I never write negative reviews about courses but this will be my first. I did not bring my clubs with me from out of town so I used a rental set, which I was charged $30 for, and the value of the set probably wasn't even that much, they were very outdated and cheap clubs and I can't believe that a place that supposedly is "The Nicest Course on Long Island" (according to their website) would have them. The cart fleet is outdated for sure and needs to be switched out for newer. The pace of play was terrible, even for the in-season, it took an hour and a half for the first 4 holes and the only thing that opened up the course for us was the fact that we got beer from the beverage cart girl and the delay there gave the many groups in front of us time to get ahead. The course itself is in decent condition, but the greens were in bad shape, I know it was a bad winter here but I would have expected better from, again, "The Nicest Course on Long Island", especially having played here before on numerous occasions, it was a huge letdown and I don't think I'll be back there again.
Always a great place
Big greens and some long holes. But always well maintained and a good value! Swan lake is one of Long Islands Best, consistently well maintained since I've been going there over 20 Years.
Bad Greens
I had played Swan Lake years ago and remembered how big and nice the greens were. The greens are now in terrible condition which ruins the round. I've never seen such bad greens. Other than the greens, the course is beautiful.
SAM
The fairways and rough were in excellent condition.
The course is long but is pretty wide open. The water is for the scenery and doesn't really come into play much. The greens are very large. The practice green had winter damage. A few greens had some winter damage on them which made putting a challenge on those greens otherwise I would have rated the overall condition excellent. Hopefully in a month or so those dead spots will be repaired.
Bare greens
For $75, Their greens had patches of dirt so putting was frustrating and as of now I don't think I would book another day here.
Terrific day
Greens were large and, in most cases, pretty good shape. Fairways and tee boxes were well maintained. Water hazards on the course were fair and not a deterrent. Not sure I get 10th hole OB stakes. Pace of play was great
greens are bad.
this course is usually in terrific condition. huge greens and fairly wide fairways. fairways and tee boxes are in wonderful condition. the greens had some really bad areas due to rough winter. I have played this course many times and would highly recommend it when green damage is taken care of.
