Beautiful Course
Second time playing Swan Lake and it was just as good as the first. The course is in great shape and the wide open layout makes for a relaxing round.
Slump Buster
I always seem to play well when I play Swan Lake.
I find that no matter how badly I am struggling, a round at Swan Lake seems to bring me back in line and helps cure what swing troubles I am having.
Either it's a mental thing or maybe it's the wide open fairways.
The course is always in great condition.
Good track..
Great surprise out in Manorville. Price was with cart and very reasonable compared to other courses. The course was challenging and in great shape. Not crowded either. Worth the drive.
swan lake is OK by me
This course is well maintained the greens are like carpet they are large and challenging you have to make shots and use all of your clubs I recommend the total golf experience that swan lake has to offer worth the trip
Vito in Suffolk
Swan Lake
Great design in good sharp with green fairways and greens
Greens would be fantastic if cut shorter and much faster
A Fun Course to Play...
The first thing that comes to mind about Swan Lake is the HUGE greens that they have. If you are one, who has difficulty with lag-putting, you have another great opportunity to get better here. Overall, Swan Lake, from the white tees, is a beautiful and not too difficult course that offers a combination of hazards - both wet and dry - to defend par. The sand in the traps is of good quality - without too many rocks or pebbles. Most of water hazards are on the front. So pay more attention to shot accuracy on the front. There are good scores to be had on the four Par 5's. As for the four Par 3's, you stand a pretty good chance of making an ace on the short 16th hole. Alot of fun.
The course has large greens.
The course is in great shape. It is quite long and the greens are large and very challenging.
Great Greens
The greens were in great condition, reasonably quick, very large. Ball placement important. The course plays long for short hitters.
Nice Course
This course is consistently kept in very good shape. Greens are tough, but in very good condition. Overall this course delivers a nice round of golf. Shoot some low scores, often. Will go back again and again.
Huge greens
Biggest greens great course hazards are in play from water creeks and sand lots of fun
Neighborhood course
This is a nice local course. Very fair for the average golfer.
Nice condition
Really enjoyed my round at Swan Lake. The greens and fringe were in excellent condition and the fairways and rough where also in good shape. It was a pleasure. A little slow play on the last 4 holes, else it moved well.
pace of play!
Pace of play at 11:40 am on a holiday weekend was great!!!!
PLUSH GREEN FAIRWAYS
COURSE IS IN GREAT SAHAPE FROM TEE BOX TO GREEN LONG BUT FAIRLY WIDE OPEN FAIRWAYS. VERY FAIR FOR MODERATE GOLFERS
Well condition golf course
I last played Swan Lake about 10 years ago. The course is very well maintained and can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels. Large greens and wide landing areas puts it high on my list of places to play.
Swan Lake Review
This was my 2nd time playing swan lake. It's a great course, well maintained and very scenic. There are just 2 negative things I can say about Swan Lake : 1) no range. 2) no ranger. I don't mind so much there is no range, but we got stuck behind a really slow threesome (we were 4) and they kind of spoiled an otherwise awesome day. Had there been a ranger they could have been asked to play faster which would have been greatly appreciated. But overall a great course that is maintained very well and a good challenge for the average golfer. I highly recommend Swan Lake for your next round of golf.
SLLOOOOWWWW
Cons: pace of play was horrendous. A bit over 5 hrs for a 3some. Course is in dire need of a ranger. We had 2 clowns in front of us with absolutely zero golf etiquette.
Pros: clubhouse staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Cart girl prices were very good and she was very nice. Course was nicely manicured. Very nice design and lay out.
I would give it another shot and hope the pace of play is a little better.
Starter was incompetent
They put a twosome in front of us that turned into a foursome, One of which was his uncle with a beer cooler. Very classless individual. The round took 6 hours. Nice course, managed by dopes.
Wow, Great course to play
Pleasantly surprised course was in good shape day after heavy rain. Hugh greens, if you fail to adjust to excellent pin setting with American Flag for front, middle and back you paid for it with a three putt. We played from blue tees, I got to use woods more often for lengthy par 4's. Had a wonderful time, did not want to stop.
Greens
Greens very bumpy . Possibly due to recent aeration?
Putting for all in my foursome was poor due to condition of putting surfaces.
