Stony Ford Golf Course

Might be the best muni course I've ever played in the tristate area.

A bit far for me but worth the trip.

Great conditions, starter, rangers, cart girl, full restaurant and bar, driving range overlooking beautiful vistas. What more can you ask for?

Everyone was super friendly and if you're a single, they dont make you share a cart. Even better!

Can't recommend enough, just wish I lived closer.

Overall, this is a good course. Have to keep in mind that it's the beginning of the season so certain parts of the course are still rough. Greens were in good condition especially for this time of year. Tee boxes are rough but kind of expected, for now. The only constant issue I have seen is that the course retains water pretty well but that is par for this area, no pun intended.

Always a pleasure to play here! Course conditions really good! Greens in great shape. Only problem is end of year and bar closed when I finished at 3:15.

This course was a very pleasant suprise. For a county course it is in great shape. The layout and landscape is very scenic and nice to be on. There are decent amount of doglegs and some of them are relatively sharp, so if you have a group in front of you make sure your good before teeing off ( I cut the trees on #2 and "buzzed the tower" on the group ahead of me unknowingly but gladly they were not mad and actually impressed lol, my bad) On top of everything the green fees are VERY player friendly for the higher than avg quality of the course. Highly recommend!!

SF is one of my favorite courses. It has some of the best scenery in the area. There are a good mix of difficult and easier holes. So, it has its challenges.

The course was in good shape. The only problem was that the greens had recently been aerated and were pretty bad. We probably wouldn’t have played there had we known about it. Other than that, the course was great.

Love this course layout and changes in elevation. Greens had been aerated, so pretty bumpy. Fairways were a bit high for a weekend round, also.

A putting AND a chipping green would be nice. Couldn't warm up putting because too many folks chipping around practice green.

Everyone was very friendly though.

Can’t believe this course is rated as 4 out of 5. Whole course is not maintained at all. Tee box is almost bare ground and fairway condition is so bad. Green was horrible as well due to aeration. Definitely won’t come back.

Worst aeration I’ve ever seen. Tee boxes were terrible. This course used to be one of the best around for the price. It was my go-to only two years ago. I gave it two chances this year, hoping this time would be better. It wasn’t. I won’t be going back again.

The Rough was way to high along the edges of fairways too severe of penalty if just off fairway

I thought that rough was too high at least 4” .

It was tough finding ball that trickled into rough just off the fairway . It was hard seeing the top of the ball

The course was in very good condition and the pace of play was good as well.

At turn encountered mixed foursome who had issue with us getting back on course after quick bite to eat.Very entitled personality.I am not one to be talked down to give what I get. But of course after starter told them we were good to go had to try make me bad guy. Caused little break in mind set and lost swing for couple holes. Was able to get locked back into round finish well. Even thought they were try to push us when we were waiting for foursome in front of us for entire back nine.
