Crab Meadow Golf Course

Nice course with some challenging holes and good scenery. I would definitely recommend.

Pace of play quite slow. Didn't see a ranger for the whole round.

It also wouldn't hurt to have primary and secondary rough cuts. Being in 3 inches of grass two inches off the fairway is no fun and just slows play.

Beautiful course in great shape. Love all the par 5s. Great course if you like longer holes.

Course was in nice shape BUT, the greens here are very, very slow & fuzzy. Hard to get ball to hole or read any breaks.

Pace of play is horrible all the time and no Ranger to correct the issue . Greens are very very slow they don't roll them or cut them short due to the 25 yr old greens keeper

Layout on the back is awesome. Course was in great shape. Views are great.
The first couple of holes are a little tight to each other.
Will put this course into the rotation for sure.

I was born and raised on Long Island, and Crab Meadow was the course I played when I took golf up some 35 years ago. The course itself is extremely picturesque (several holes on the back 9 have the LI Sound as a back drop!!). Greens are a little slow for me, but my real complaint is pace of play. Yesterday's round took some 5.5 hrs and we literally had to wait on every shot!! I did see a ranger riding the course, but he did nothing to move people along. If you have never played Crab Meadow, you should. As for me, I won't be returning for a while because slow play is just not fun for me.

Amazing views on this course - The layout is great!

Greens were punched 4 weeks ago and grew in nice BUT... They are still slow as ever.

It ruined the whole hole round trying to putt on shag carpeting.

Can't get the ball to the hole and there is no break. This is not golf.

I will not return till they get them rolling like every other course on Long Island.

Crab Meadow is always fun to play. Beautiful views, challenging holes, well kept.

Greens were rough but the overall condition was good

I know it is still early in the season, but since a new management team has taken over so I thought we would give the course another try.

It looks like they are spending some money with some new mats and renovating inside the facility, but the greens are still extremely bumpy and horribly slow.

Past years early season rounds were nice because the greens had not had a chance to get long yet. The jury is still out.

The title tells it all. The greens are SLOW !!!! Have been all year. Don't play a break on most putts, just hope your ball will get to the cup. Bring a brush for your shoes after the round, you are goung to need it. This course has a great layout, just needs someone who knows to cut and roll greens and chase geese. If you are a high handicaper out for a day of nice scenery, this is the play. Serious golf can not be played in these conditions.

love the course layout. has great views of the LI sound. only drawback this round was the greens were very slow but i guess due to the coming cold weather, even though other courses have the greens cut much faster still and they were a little bumpier then most..

From someone who is accustomed to golfing in south florida (pga, etc), this course was fabulous! The views are amazing. Challenging course, but it didnt matter to us, we'll be back!

Extremely crowded! We tee'd off about 30 minutes past our time. They let people who just showed up tee off before us, so it was a little frustrating. Once we got out there the course was very nice. Jam packed and slow moving but a fun course in all. Open fairways with some challenging hazards. Lots of fun if you have lots of time.

The course was in okay condition. The fairways weren't that great because they are mostly clover, and they were on the muddy side. The greens were in decent condition, but they are notoriously slow. But Crab is a very pretty course, and the value in booking through Golfnow can't be beat.
