About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Good golf course
Even though it rained for 2 days, the course conditions were not bad.
Nice oceanfront course with beautiful views
Course was challenging but playable. It was a windy day down on the shore so it plays a bit longer than what the scorecard shows. Heavy rain last few so it was cart path only. Quite a few VERY muddy spots on almost every hole. Doesn’t seem like the course drains very well. Greens were aerated and sandy but that’s to be expected this time of year. Finished a round of 18 in about 4hr 30min. Got bogged down on a few holes but the rangers came by and moved things along. Friendly cart girl that delivers hot food and drinks from the cafe at the turn. Driving on site. Overall nice course at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

Oceanside golf
The fairways are very narrow. The tee off boxes are very close to other greens. The holes are long, which I did like.

Great layout, wet conditions
The layout of this course is excellent and it provides many interesting holes. Although aerated, the greens rolled very fast and were the best dimension of the course. Fairways were not bad, but the course continues to deal with drainage issues, with standing water common across the course. We all know the course is a work in progress, but wondering when it will finally be the great course it should be. Bunkers were wet and sand not the best, another area that could stand improvement. Despite all this, it's a pleasure to play and I'd recommend it.

I booked this course not knowing much about it. It was awesome when you are out by the water. I play once a week and I would recommend this course as long as the geese are not around.
