About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Great Course
Course is in great condition. Little to no wind today. Broke 100 for the first time on this course!

Well groomed course
This was a great place to play. It was well cut and groomed. Pace of play was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Only thing is we lost more balls in plain sight than I can remember elsewhere. Lots of goose drippings droppings on the 18th. Also- several holes surround the driving range, so be on the lookout while there for both balls flying and the yellow balls from the range littered over your fairways. Play with a white ball!

Pricey
As part of the Covid reopening, golfers were sent out in golf carts solo. The price increased substantially from around $65 to $85 for this health driven convenience. There is no longer a senior discount. As of today, in order to ride solo the course wants to charge $10 more or $95 for a round of public golf. This price is excessive and the thought of riding with a stranger is worrisome.

Fine course but TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND POLICIES
This review is for the course management and policies. During a time where there is so much uncertainty, they have a "strict 48 hour" cancelation policy, only giving a refund for your prepaid tee time if someone else books it. How is that acceptable right now? I fully intended to play until I found out that I need to quarantine for my safety as well as others. I called 18 hours ahead of my tee time to cancel (remember you have to PRE PAY) and was not given any flexibility. That's honestly a joke. I'm likely going to be out $60 because of it. I've played here bunch and mark my words, I will NEVER come here again. You shouldn't either!!!

Great Challenging Course
I live on Staten Island. I normally go to New Jersey to play as it s easier then going over Verrazano and then the Belt Parkway out to Long Island. Decided to give it a shot after hearing about Middle Bay. Verdict, Well worth the travel and traffic to get there and play the course. Not many courses offer golf by the water. Wind was whipping on the first nine , not as much on back. Greens are fun and Difficult. Fast , undulating greens make it a great challenge . Wide fairways allow forgiveness. I have played many courses in the try state area, as well around the country and for the money , this courses has great value. Definetly more challenging then a lot of the public courses due to the wind. Overall 8/10. Enjoy
