About what you’d expect for a muni course
I would usually play marine park but tried LT for a change and it was a good course to mix it up on. Generally in pretty good nick, fairways and greens were both above average with a good roll. Few tee boxes and bunkers could do with a bit of love, but generally this is a good track for your weekend golfer. Good practice facilities and the pace was fine bar one clueless group in front. Overall, not as good as Marine Park but would definitely come back for a change up.
first time, last time
played la tourette for the first time today, and it’ll probably be my last. let’s start with the positives: the greens were actually in pretty good shape, as well as the fairways and most tee boxes. now the negatives: pace of play, general lack of etiquette and respect from many of the other patrons, bunkers filled with water, starter had no idea what he was doing, hilarious excuse for scorecards. that said, I’d probably view my experience more fondly if it wasn’t $70 for a weekday round. for that price, I just expect more. especially when you consider the value you can get out at Bethpage, or the other muni I primarily play, Marine Park.
Course was in pretty good shape. Hot day no water coolers and the scorecard was computer paper with no map of the holes.
La Tourette
people at course are extremely helpful, arrived a little late due to road work, got me right out on course
I bought a T shirt leaving, good price and good quality
Course was in great condition
Shot an 83 , delighted
Awful condition
The course condition was an absolute joke. The fact that they charge money at all is despicable. The greens had been recently aerated. Some of the bunkers were filled with water. Filled! Multiple inches deep all the way around. And the bunkers that weren’t were more dirt than sand. One bunker actually had a pile of cement in it like they were trying to repair something on the grounds and whatever left over cement they had mixed they just threw it in a bunker. Are you kidding me????
Eesh
No mention of aerated greens during/post-purchase, or that the scorecard was backwards (from nine was actually back nine). Tee boxes were destroyed and they need rain if they don’t water the fairways. $80 not we’ll spent at all.
Disappointed
What once was a premier course in New York City for the public has just deteriorated due to management slack on maintaining this course
Really nice. Round of golf
I was very happy with my round of golf here. My only complaint is there were really no marketing’s at the tee boxes. And no numbers at the wholes. Tough when you’ve never played a course to be sure you are in the right whole. The greens were great and after several days of rain the course handles the water very well. As I said. Overall really good round but some more course info would be great.
people were very friendly, course is good, challenging , and rolling
Nice course
I know why others say they wont come back
After the first time here, i understand why not many people come back or recommend this course to me.
No starter, no hole sign, no tee marker, no marshall...but a lot of bird poop and sometimes someone may jump in front of you.
I give some positive star to the staff. They are helpful. I hope they will renovate soon because the layout is good.
All good for winter golf. 5 stars for course conditions. Great layout.
