Could be better
No senior rate on weekends, what’s up with that? $90 for greens fee and cart is rediculous to play a city course Greens not cut. Cart patch are all broken up and need repair.
Pretty decent course conditions. Some tee boxes could be better but not too bad. Bunkers definitely need work. Pace of play was great at just over 4 hours. Practice facilities are great. A little over priced compared to some NJ courses but overall fun place to play.
Worst pace of play ever
My group left after nine holes because it had taken over three hours to play the front nine. This is the worst place to play I’ve ever experienced. It absolutely killed the fun.
Good course
The course was well maintained and I was very pleased with the friendly pro shop staff.
New owners are ruining the course bringing in golf carts way too early charging full price for twilight tee time. Plenty have times I have finished 18 holes at 6pm tee time they shouldn’t be letting people walk the greens for twilight tee times and let them slow down the rest of the course. Then they pull the golf carts in when it’s still light out absolutely ridiculous
3.5 Hour First 9
4 groups backed up on the same hole for the entire front nine. Asked for a refund so we could just leave at the turn and they rudely laughed at my request. Screw this place.
Poor pace of play
I've golfed Latourette often, and never had issues. But 2 obnoxious golfers in front of me ruined the experience.
Besides of being slow and loud, they didn't replace numerous divots on the fairway, or their ball and club marks on thr greens. When I asked to play through, they refused and played numerous balls.
They couldn't play, every hole was 8 or more strokes.
Only good thing was I collected brand new ProV1 that they lost in the rough
Other than them, I took my time practicing my swing and green reading, even played 2 or 3 balls (I was a solo golfer)
I know one bad experience, but the golfers behind me had a 6-some behind them, and experienced the same.
I'd give Latourette another chance, lol ... I play there weekly, just a bad experience
Otherwise , a great challenging course to play
One of Cities best!
Many tournaments and outings are held here. The course is in excellent shape, fairways well maintained. Latourette has a history of difficult rough, but they are kept low. Tee boxes need a little repair, but nothing more than a week rotation wouldn't fix.
Must play
One of my 4 courses I play weekly
