Greens weren’t cut, 5 hour round
Been playing here for over 30 years. Will never play at near 12 noon again on a Saturday. They book tee times every 9 minutes with 25-30 handicap players. Ridiculous. 2 guys out of the Group ahead of us playing from the blue tees that should not have. 2 and 4 groups ahead of them couldn’t hit the ball 20 yards off the tee. No rangers pushing players.
The grass on the greens looked like they weren’t cut in a week, granted it rained most of this week up until today but no excuse. It was like putting on the fringe !!! All 18 holes. Even the practice putting green was the same. Only good thing was the range and new carts. $62 to walk and $90 to ride. They should’ve gave refunds for poor greens and no rangers.

There needs to be rangers to keep the pace of play up to standard. There was a group about 4 groups ahead of mine that was very slow and lengthened my playing time and that of many other groups behind them by a solid 45 minutes. Unacceptable. Generally, the course is in good condition. It’s my favorite muni-course in NYC.
Top public ny course
Only issue there’s a cart girl that stands at 1 tee box. This course is in unreal condition for a public course. Recommend 10/10
Good play
The course it being prepared for an outing or a tournament. Best condition in 7 years. Tee boxes need some caring to, and the bunkers need to be fixed , need sand
Course in best condition in years
I had golfed on July 8th, and my review was that the maintance crew working diligently, besides the tee boxes and sand traps, the course (fairways,rough, and greens) was in the best condition in years. On the 11th, I played again,and now some of tee boxes were repaired.
There must be a tournament or major outings happening soon.
I golf in New Jersey often because of the poor conditionsof the NY golf courses,, but am finding myself playing more at LaTourette now that it's being maintained
A must to play this summer
Best round of golf
Score my best round yesterday. This place is now part of my golf story. Course is in great condition. Pace was meh but it's July 4th so we didn't mind and we definitely toon our time and enjoyed the round. We will be back for sure!
Great Summer Day
Course open and as nice a day as could be. The crowd stayed home on a hot day and felt like it was ours for the day.
