After the Rain
Happy to hear we could use cart all over course not just on path. Lots of wet spots after heavy rains over the weekend. New bunkers have real sand in them, old bunkers DONT! Some tee boxes STILL SUCK! . Why can’t you level them out? Greens in good shape,. Fairways also good. Busy day as post-masters golfiers look to take advantage of good weather. 4 “Goodfellas” in front of us enjoying cigars and multiple tee shots slowed back down but better than work! Happy to finally get out👍
Not A Good Value
This course is under new management with an increase in prices year after year. There isn’t an NYC resident discount either to play on a city owned course. You are better off going to New Jersey for a better value. Too expensive hot deals only.
Good for the price
I paid $28 walking and that’s a great price for 18 holes. Course was in solid condition, greens were sandy but that’s expected at this time of year. Otherwise great local value course
Greens + communication
I played this course last year and hated it as the Fringe had ground hornets all over it where I didn’t even want to put my shot in. I gave it one more chance this year. I played 9 given time constraints, was set up on the back 9 for some reason and 2 of the 9 holes didn’t even have greens. While this was due to reckless kids ripping it up, the staff did not warn us could of at least set us up on the front 9 or given us a discount on the back 9 given only 7 of the holes had a playable green. The other 2 holes had flags on the fairway.
Won’t be coming here again.
Poor management
How do you not have a starter on a Saturday and charge top money. Confusion, and arguments on the 1st. Tee. Wait time was ridiculous. .management was more concern about the golf range. Definitely not worth the money..
One of worst run courses in America
I can’t stress enough how bad this place is run …if you see this review please don’t ever play here ..played yesterday and there was 7 groups waiting to tee off on the first hole …waited on every tee box …and the range is a absolute joke it’s a disaster …this place is so bad it’s unfathomable it has to be the worse run course in america
Place should be investigated
It should be a crime how much they charge for a Bucket of balls when the balls you get are covered in dried mud and have no dimples left and cracks in them …just buy new range balls it’s that that difficult
Great course
Love this course. Conditions are spotty but the day we played the greens were rolling nicely. Pace was great too. It is like many public courses in NYC, if you get unlucky you can get stuck behind a sloe group. If you get lucky you can be done in 4 hours.
Great course
I live Latourette gold course. Well maintained and pace was great. My favorite course on Staten Island
