Need to improve pace of play and fairways
Pace of play was too long 5 hours No rangers pushing foursomes ahead of us Fairways we’re beat up browned out and tough terrain Pin placements were unfair 3 feet to edge on hills etc
Course Coditions
I played all the Westchester count courses and I never see anyone working on Mohansic. I’ve been there when the Pro Am comes there and the course is perfect which tells me they do the minimum before September. They’re eroding around some hole which leaves rocks and roots exposed. The greens are bumpy and the holes are put in positions that can be unmanageable.
Public Gem
I learned to play golf at Mohansic in the 1990's. The maintenance and care for the course has increase significantly in the last many years and inspite of the heavy public play, the course is in good shape and plays very well. In addition to better maintenance, the course has invested in rebuilding greens and many of the sand traps. Of all the Westcheter County Courses, this remains my favorite.

Too many blind shots and greens are goofy
3/4 or more of the tee shots are blind. Approaches are actually lovely but it’s a crap shoot off the tee. Almost all greens are sloped so severely that 3 putts or more are almost guaranteed. Good putts are penalized. I played it once 15 years ago and I doubt I will be back for another 15 or more. To be avoided.

VERY VERY SLOW PACE
I got just to the 9th hole after 3 hours and did not continue anymore.
I WANT MY MONEY BACK! Or at least half of what I paid.

Great course. One of the best in Westchester County
Enjoyed playing Mohansic. Only recommendation is to plave yard markers on the holes. Only have 150 yard markers. No 100 or 200 yard markers as before. Also carts do not have electronic couse giide as before. Would be nice to know the yardage, course outline and to be able to keep score electronically.

Slow Pace
Pace was slow for a Monday. Almost 5 hours. They also took all the GPS trackers out of the carts.

Great Local Course
Great local course. Some holes tougher than others but pretty good. Friendly staff. Only downside is the condition of the golf carts and no GPS on them.

Great Moderately Hard Course
This course was a lot of fun. There were a lot of blind shots that made it tough as a near-beginner but regardless had a great time. Only minor nitpick was that the greens were a bit choppy but not bad enough to make a fuss.

Surprising pace of play
First time in a long time I had a four hour and 10 minute round. That is shocking for this course. It usually takes five hours.

Love everything besides
This is probably my most played course. I live about 20 minutes away and overall love Mohansic. It gives you different looks on different holes and no hole is really the same. It’s not crazy crazy long, but also not a short course either. The only thing I would change are two of the greens. Hole 5 and most importantly hole 8 greens are completely terrible. The condition is totally fine, but if you’re above the hole you better make that shot or you’re rolling at the best situation 10 feet past the hole. On days that the greens are really rolling, I’ve been putting at the bottom of the green and have had it roll right to the hole and back down to my feet. They did a fantastic job fixing this problem on the 15th green and am hoping they do the same for these! Overall great course and will always be willing to play here.
