GREAT Shape
Mohansic was closed down for a week because a tornado touched down on it and picked up some trees. and then they got flooded when they were supposed to open. I played there the day it opened after being closed for the week. They did a great job getting the course back together. The groundskeeper Shawn did a great job and the greens are phenomenal right now.

I played this course at the beginning of for the first time. I love the layout and challenges of this course.

Please stop removing amenitioes and information!
It is outrageous that you have still not restored water on the course. I heard the usual excuses from the people at the course: "Health Dept" due to COVID, "Parks Dept". I got Kathy O'Connor and the deputy Health Commissioner on the phone, and both pointed to the other. This is nuts. Many people complaining.
Also, what reason to remove 100 and 200 yard markers? And even some of the 150s.
You are hurting your reputation by being lazy. I've been playing the course for 20 years and am surprised how slipshod it's become on these things

Great Course
This course has some long par 4s and sloping greens but it is in great condition and one of the best public courses I've played this season.

In great shape
Definitely one of the best Westchester courses. Greens were in great shape, with a few tough pin placements and some heavy rough for a good little challenge.

Play was a little slow but everything else was fine

Nice day of golf
Played today and as usual friendly staff and good day of golf except for thunderstorms, was given a rain check because of weather and staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Need to improve pace of play and fairways
Pace of play was too long 5 hours No rangers pushing foursomes ahead of us Fairways we’re beat up browned out and tough terrain Pin placements were unfair 3 feet to edge on hills etc

Course Coditions
I played all the Westchester count courses and I never see anyone working on Mohansic. I’ve been there when the Pro Am comes there and the course is perfect which tells me they do the minimum before September. They’re eroding around some hole which leaves rocks and roots exposed. The greens are bumpy and the holes are put in positions that can be unmanageable.
Public Gem
I learned to play golf at Mohansic in the 1990's. The maintenance and care for the course has increase significantly in the last many years and inspite of the heavy public play, the course is in good shape and plays very well. In addition to better maintenance, the course has invested in rebuilding greens and many of the sand traps. Of all the Westcheter County Courses, this remains my favorite.
