Impossible
Played many times. Easy tee to green, then small hilly greens make you work for it. But for whatever reason they have cut/rolled the greens so fast that any putt rolls off the green. I saw another review call it pavement and that’s what it felt like. Not bashing the course or the staff, but someone needs to have some common sense with the green speeds. Our group was laughing with some of the things happening on the greens. In summary, slow down the greens!

Greens were like putting on pavement
Course looked to be in good condition, but greens were AWFUL

Another Great Round
4 hours 15 round on a Saturday!!!
Good layout and very difficult greens. Hard but fair course. Always enjoy my round at Mohansic!!!

Conditions were great
The course was in great shape. The green were fast, they were unusually hard. If you hit a good approach shot in the middle of the green, no dimple and it would most likely roll off.

Delay
There was a 2 and a half hour delay and they never notified me about it. This delay caused a backup on every single hole.

Local course
This is out local public course. Don’t understand why they can’t make the restaurant and bathrooms useable. The restroom are so dirty. The Resturant is always understaffed with very unpredictable food. Such a great location. If maple moor can have great food why can’t Mohansic?

Best course in the County. I played every Tuesday and Friday mornings. The staff in the pro shop are the friendliest and most helpful of any of the courses I’ve played.

Good Value
Played in December, so wasn't expecting much. Course was in fair condition due to time of year. Greens were small and challenging. i would return to see if there were better conditions in warmer weather during the regular golf season. I would imagine though given all the blind shots, pace of play is always a problem.

No starter or ranger . Pace of play was slow. In cold weather no one wants to wait on every shot

Course was in good shape. Pace of play was as a little slow because a group of 3 walkers held everyone behind them up. Very cold day no rangers or starters.

Wildlife, hills and forest each hole offers a different challenge
This county golf course compares trumps most public courses we've played in the US. The pace is good and play is in a forest setting with few flat fairways. The course has 19 holes such that if one hole is under repair, there are still 18 holes to play. Most players are average to expert, so the pace is good. It is not uncommon to see deer, ground hogs, rabbits, hawks and other wildlife around and on the course.
The amenities are average. The dining and bar area are simple and not well furnished. The food is mostly prepared bar food.

Mohansic Golf Course
I have a very enjoyable time playing golf at Mohansic this spring, summer and fall. I have clocked in 25 rounds at this course. The staff is friendly and easy to make a tee time by calling into the clubhouse. The course is in excellent shape and they are constantly improving the tee boxes. The fairways are in great shape and the greens are challenging with the slopes from back to front. All they need to do is improve the sand traps. Even before COVID the traps were rocky and hard. I hope next year we will see new soft sand and be able to rake the traps. My friend and I always have a nice time at this county course.

Tee Time Process
As a resident of Westchester County, and a holder of the County Card, I find the Tee Time reservation system for the county courses to be cumbersome, and unfair. I have been told that the way to get a teetime is to call the proshop 7 days in advance, but the proshop does not answer the phone until 9:00 AM. On several occasions, I have called between 9;00 and 9;05, only to be told the first available tee time on the day I want (Usually Sat or Sun), is after 1:30PM. How can this be? They used to have an on-line reservation system, that worked much better, but that is not working this year.
