Mohansic keeps getting better!
I have been playing at Mohansic for several years. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Over the years I have seen great improvements in the condition of the course. The staff has worked hard to continue making these improvements without effecting the rate of play. I make it a point to thank the staff and grounds crew every chance I can. They seem to be truly dedicated to make playing at Mohansic an enjoyable experience..

Could be fabulous
We started our day at the driving range! Based on the condition of the range we didn't expect to be treated to a beautiful golf course in very good condition. The driving range was one of the worst we have ever seen. We teed off just about on time. The carts were equipped with GPS which was nice. There are many blind tee shots here but the pace of play remained good. The fairways were in excellent condition and looked great. The greens too were nice and full. The speed was a little on the slow side but what public course isn't.. Pretty amazing for a course that was so crowded I might add. I'm sure with a little TLC this golf course could be GREAT! Upon reaching the half way point there was a snack stand and bathroom facility which was AWFUL! We played in 4 hours and 45 minutes which is acceptable. We did not stay for afterr round food or drink. I would love to see and play this course again.

agonizingly long afternoon
Two groups playing tournament ahead of our 3pm tee time resulted in 5hr round. Finished in the dark. Course and greens in good shape however bunkers hadn't been maintained for days.

Pace was bad
Waited on every tee box and to hit second shot.
We did tee off at 2 pm. Maybe the pace is better in the morning.

TERRIBLE PACE OF PLAY
So my tee time was 2:56pm but wasn't able to get til 15 after 3..
Saw a couple of threesome ahead who looked liked it was their first time out in the course. The 2nd was not much different. And you can see them taking shot after shot because of mishits. So you could imagine how long before they move ahead. Didn't see any ranger to police things like this. The starter couldn't do anything as well because he was at the start. Didn't get to finish my 9th hole til about 6:15. By the way, I was also asked to join another threesome of high school kids who were just hacking shots. I dreaded it until the 9th. But I couldn't go any further with all that's happening. What a waste of money and time!!!
I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

9. Greens were just punched and sanded ..Putting those 9 greens was next to impossible. No one told us that theses greens were being treated."

Grat day
Great day of golf, despite a number of challenges. One was starting on hole 10. Although I preferred the back 9, the main clubhouse was not prepared to turn food around quickly like the turn house. In fact the hot dogs were awful, barely cooked. And the front 9 holes, which were played second, were recently airated, and covered in sand, All in all, weather great, and very quick round.
