Ran out of golf carts
For the second week in a row how do you run out of golf carts on a weekday 🤷♂️🤬
Not a great day
Five hour round. No play it forward tees except for a few holes. Greens painfully slow. Staff was not helpful even when I asked for directions, Told them I hadn’t played there in 40 years, and all that they said was they might not have enough motor carts, in a arrogant way, like don’t bother me attitude.
Great course for the money
This is what Van Courtlandt wishes it was. I was very impressed with the condition of the course and I found the layout to be challenging but gettable if you keep it in play. There's plenty of room to do so as well. I can't speak too much to the pace of play since me and my friends played it on a wet day so we had the entire course to ourself. We used our pushcarts and there are a number of holes that make it challenging to walk if you are considering that. I can't wait to come back and play again here with a cart on a nice day.
SLOW!!
Everything was great except the pace of place. Granted, this is a public course but it should not take 5 hours to play a par 70 course. Too many newbies and kids on the course. Other than that it's fine and worth the money.
No carts
Had a 3:39 tee time. Showed up and there were no carts. Didn’t tee off until about 4:10 and then every hole was backed up due to the cart issue. They added a par 3 in between 2&3, eliminated 8, scorecards and cart gps did not accommodate they change in holes. Barely finished 14 holes and should’ve had no problem finishing due to daylight.
Greens
The greens are in good shape for this time of the year.
SLOW pace of play
Pace of play was incredibly slow. 3+ hours, I only played 9. Course was in decent condition for first day of the season. Would recommend but would advise to go with people you want to spend hours with.
