Rude staff
Rude starter — actually quite the jerk. He rushes people and wouldn’t let one of our guys tee off just because he got there 3 minutes before the scheduled time. Instead, he made him drop in the fairway, which was silly because he still had to wait for the green to clear. He’s rude, argumentative, and clearly on a power trip. He probably gets bossed around at home. Did I say jerk?
Beautiful Day of golf
Beautiful day on a booked golf course. It was the nicest 5 hour round I have ever played. I don't know if it was the weather being perfect or that I broke 80. The round just played steady. We had to wait a bit on each hole but everyone kept it moving along. Greens were immaculate. Some of the tee boxes could of been better especially on the par 3s. They had rangers on a few holes with blind shots to keep the pace moving. The 3 some I was in felt exactly the same way. It was a bit over 5 hours but was very enjoyable.
Greens Aeration NOT Mentioned
Extremely disappointed at the conditions this time. This is my home course and despite being known for slow pace of play, I was shocked how extremely Slow the greens were…I’m talking Shag Carpet Slow!
The Cherry on Top was that three Greens were Aerated and sanded making it impossible to putt. These Greens conditions were not posted on Golf Now which is surprising to me.
Although it’s nice to be out there, this round was wasted due to miscommunication, poor conditions and unable to keep score.
Greens were over grown, staff was extremely rude
Don't go. Not worth your time if you are accustom to any playing in under 5 hours or expect the staff not to talk to you like a child. Not going back.
Love Mohansic, but they run out of carts
I love mohansic. I’ve been playing it for years. They did a lot of work to the course which is great. If you want to golf there after 1 pm on a weekend there is a 85% change you’re waiting around for golf carts to return. Rounds are slow enough here already that you shouldn’t be waiting 30 minutes after your tee time for a cart to arrive.
Great public course
Overall, this is an excellent course. We did, however get sandwiched between two parties ahead who were taking their time and a number of parties behind us which led to a 4.5 hour round of 18- much of the time simply waiting for the group in front of us to tee off and play through. I was not in a rush, so it wasn't an issue, however pressure was felt. Looking forward to returning!
Pace of play disaster
Not much management on the pace of play. So many groups were backed up it took us 3 hours to get through the front 9. They ran out of golf carts and also they kept going dead. Nice course lots of dog legs. Wouldn’t pay unless it was a hot deal
Good course
Nice layout and in good shape.
Greens were a bit on the slow side but still a good test
