They always over book. We had 3 groups in front of us on every hole. We only played 8 holes in 4 hours
Windy and cold
12Th hole is Dangerous
Was hit into by the younger long ball hitters. You can easily be stuck in the blind area in Valley while waiting for the Green to clear. There should be a warning to check that area before teeing off. This has happened a few times over the years there.
Lovely Staff but Slow Round
From the pro shop lady to the starter was awesome.
Once the round started however, it all went downhill from there. 2 of the 4 people in my group couldn’t even make contact with their balls. And when they did, it went 10-15 yards with their driver. Not a single ranger out there!!! Round took 51/2 hours. I know it was a Saturday afternoon, but just ridiculous out there. These newbies need to start to get lessons or something. Or at least grab a tee time in the late afternoon.
Mohansic is a gem
Mohansic never disappoints. Tests all facets of game with length, great bunkering and pure greens.
Let’s hope they fix the 5th green as while on the card is a par 3, is really the shortest par 5 in the county.

Other than the cranky starter, it was a good time.
Mighty Mo !
This is the most traditional and majestic layout of the Westchester County Municipal Courses. The first hole is a relatively short downhill slight dogleg left par 4. I got within 25 yds of the green last Sunday which I thinned into the deep collar and chunked it close for a ho-hum par. The 2nd hole is a more severe dogleg right. You have to use all your clubs at this course. It's challenging but not unfair. The greens run at about 8-9 which is not especially fast but watch out for the downhill puts as they can get away from you..
Mohansic magnificence
I have played Mohansic about 10 times this year. It is a fair but challenging track. I enjoy walking this course as it has its ups and downs like my golf game. There are a wide variety of holes in terms of difficulty.
