Great bones. Slow pace
Mohansic is the rare public where driver is a weapon. Grip it and rip it on #3,4, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17.

Mohansic is Solid
My favorite of the Westchester County run courses. Course is in solid condition and I was dumbfounded the pace of play for a holiday (<4.5hrs with three walkers). It is not Augusta National but it is a great place for a relaxed round.

We waited on every hole and on every shot. No rangers to help with pace of play . The round took over 5 hours

Barely Maintained
I realize this is a public course but the course is a mess. Your cart bounces all over the place, cart paths included. The tee boxes are not level and obviously worn down due to constant play.
Fairway lies are never flat, your ball is always above or below your feet.
The best part of this course are the greens.
And it looks like the bunkers are improved over the years.

Pace of play
It took 2 hours and 40 minutes for 9 holes, went to pro shop asked for a 9 hole rain check, was told politely, we don’t do that. Ranger was sitting in pro’ s off with 2 other men, asked about pace of play and was informed tnewomen had a tournament in front of us, we should expect that , I said 5 + hours was little too long another gentleman then said it’s Mohansic . We were on pace for a 5:40 hour round and that’s ok

Mohansic is great!
Grounds well managed and maintained. Course is challenging and laid out so you almost feel as if you are playing on your own private course. The vistas on this course are like no other. The staff and management are friendly and helpful. And after 18 holes you are warmly welcomed into the 19th Hole (Mohansic Grill) with friendly smiles, good service, drink specials and good food!

3 hour front nine
We quit after 9 due to pace of play. Never saw a ranger. Frustrating and unacceptable.

Pace of play
2.5 + hours for 9 holes. Marshall was out driving around. When asked to help pick up pace of play, he responds with “there’s nothing I can do about it, people are just playing slow today”. Your job is to manage pace of play. Don’t use the excuse “it’s Saturday we are busy” there’s no excuse for not doing your job.

Course was fun to play, long par 4s, greens were in good shape, has good elevation changes.
