Very nice FL course
Conditions very good. Pace of play was great. 4 hours. Tough course. Trouble on both sides of most holes. I lost a lot of balls. Bar was closed, but they had a person giving out a free beer or soft drink after the round, which was nice. Recommended.
Jacaranda
Very nice course, staff very accommodating.
Quality of course was very good.
Price was steep, but it was February golf in Florida, so I somewhat understand the price.
Courses that offer the best deal will get repeat business.
I’ve played a few courses this Winter in Florida that were very expensive and just awful layouts. We won’t return. Jacaranda although pricey, we will be back this week..
Strongly recommend.
A little on the expensive side. Enjoyed the course. Good condition… enjoyable for long & short hitters alike. Although I enjoyed it, I know it will be even more enjoyable the 2nd time around. Definitely will be back.
Nice course
I thought the price was a big exceesive. the course was in great shape. The resaurant staff was very accomadating. we checked in and loaded our clubs up with the help of a very friendly staff. The only complaint was the pricing of this course which i feel should have been around $75.
Slow Play Issue
Beautiful day for golf but slow play was an unfortunate issue. On the third hole, we had 2 groups waiting on the tee box. The foursome in front of us was struggling with their game but the extreme slow play compounded problems. The ranger must have said something to them on the fifth hole because they let us play through. The course is in very good condition and I would recommend it, but be aware of potential slow play issues.
Great Public Course
This is a great public course. There were no holes that weren't easy to reach with a good tee shot. Course was in very good shape and I played in 3 & 1/2 hours. I'll be back
Jacaranda West Country Club
I played Jacaranda West Country Club for my 1st time 01/24/23. It's a mix of residential members and public players like myself. The staff are well seasoned and the course is in good shape. Would recommend it to average to low handicapped players. If I ever come back to Venice, FL I will play here again.
Not worth the money
This course is a nice layout and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. However the courses are not in great shape. Some fairways have very little or no grass and the greens are inconsistent. It is certainly not worth the $200.00 for a non resident to play either course.
