Great golf course
Really enjoyed playing this course. Challenging but not intimidating. We are fairly new golfers but felt like this course was a lot of fun!
Beautiful scenery and wildlife along the course. Staff was incredibly welcoming and kind.
Good shape
Good shape tee to green, although greens a tad slow. Looked like they were cut but not rolled, but ran very true. Consistent green to green, so just had to adjust to speed. A couple bunkers were just a bit thin on sand, but overall in great shape. Everyone very friendly, course was pretty empty, so starter got us off 15 minutes early. Was worried following 2 women, but they moved along well, & our twosome played in 3 1/2 hours, so pace was Great!!
A tad pricey for this time of year, but booked a week in advance, and price had dropped by playtime, my loss. All in all, a nice course & in really "plush" conditions. Play it.
Enjoyable relaxing course. Worth the price.
If you’re looking for a somewhat challenging but laid back course, try it. It’s worth the cost. Go in afterwards for drinks in their clubhouse. Reasonably priced and friendly staff.

Very Nice Course
Have not played since before hurricane Ian. Course is in very good condition. This time of year courses are usually beat up from seasonal use. Tee boxes, fairways, traps and greens in great shape. Prices have come down so it's much more affordable. I'll start playing more often. All staff very nice.
Warm afternoon
Warm and humid but plenty of water on the course. Jacaranda was in good shape especially the greens. Would recommend this course.

Not worth the money
Over the years I have played Jax West many times. Before the new ownership the course was in slightly worse condition but not bad. The cost was anywhere from half to one third what it is today. It’s now priced as if it is a beautiful Country Club Course. It is not. I realize golf is getting expensive in this area but way to many better choices for the money. My recommendation if you are paying top dollar to golf find another course. Heron Creek for example. 27 holes, beautiful layout and course, country club like setting, two driving ranges. And all for similar costs.
