About Sea Trail Resort Villas
The Sea Trail Resort Villas are located north of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and south of Wilmington, N.C. The property sprawls across 2,600 acres and features three championship golf courses. Villas span from one to four bedrooms in size and are equipped with full kitchens, all within 1.5 miles from the barrier island beaches. Indoor and outdoor pools are available to guests at the activity center, which also includes a game room, shuffleboard and more. Units feature a screened-in porch or balcony. Stay-and-play golf packages are available to Sea Trail Golf Club's Rees Jones, Dan Maples and Willard Byrd golf courses. Sea Trail has two clubhouses with driving ranges, putting greens and a PGA-sanctioned learning center.Facts

Great course, awesome greens!
I played this course for the first time and was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the greens were in excellent condition. Will definitely play again on my next vacation to Sunset Beach!

Mixed bag
This was an unusual round to say the least. I had a walk off eagle on 18 after holing a sand wedge. Nearly jarred a 9-iron earlier and shot 76 so those were positives. I didn’t like all the homes lining most fairways. No. 3 was the worst. Greens rolled very nice but greens were very small, ostensibly to save money by mowing less. On most greens, there was 15-20 feet of separation between bunkers and the putting surface. Tee boxes were like rough as well, grass was very high. Cart paths do need TLC as other reviewers state. Also the back 9 bathroom facilities were locked. Not sure why.

Decent layout, a couple of funky designed holes. With the GolfNow pricing and discounts this round was a great value. The fairways and greens are fine. The bunkers are mostly a mess. The cart paths are terrible but we tried to stay off them where we could. As far as I he golf experience itself goes the course is fun to play.

Nice course
Played the Byrd course after a couple of days of rain. The course was very playable. I thought the greens were pretty good. Would play it again. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Fun Track
Had a great time on this course. The layout is challenging. The fairways in very good shape. Greens in great shape. Staff friendly. Cart paths rough but passable. Sand traps are natural beach sand. Highly recommend 👌 this course.

Very few on the course. Course drained well. Fairways were nice. Putting was true.

Solid course
Fairways and greens were in good shape. Greens rolled true and were a good speed. Tee boxes were mostly in good shape, some from the white trees weren’t level.
In spots, the rough was bare and sandy with lots of roots.
The cart paths need to be replaced, they are very bumpy.
The bunkers were ok, but people need to rake after they hit.
There has been a lot of construction right along the course. It has certainly changed since I first started playing this course.
I was pleased with the condition of the course and for $44, I thought it was a good value.

Overall great experience
Love the layout of Maples Course. Overall great experience and greens were in good shape.
Staff was great as usual at all Sea Trail courses.
The only drawback is the condition of the cartpaths. They will beat you up !!
We will play the Maples Course again.
