Great drill.
I have been taught by others on Golfpass and elsewhere to open up your stance when chipping - but note you are not recommending this. Why is this?
Thanks for the question. In my opinion, a square stance is a better starting point to build awareness and develop a basic chip. Keep the setup and swing simple so you can learn the nuances of basic chipping. Then you can graduate to a different stance and by then you will know why.
