Clay Ballard
Clay Ballard explains why speed is the most important factor in hitting great bunker shots. Use a little more speed, with the proper technique, and turn your bunker game from a weakness to a strength.

Great drill to keep me wide. I will be adding it to my practice routine soon.
Hi Clay On bunker play I have found that the firmer the sand the more you have to close the club face. At our club they had firm sand in all their bunkers and I keep my face almost square, they then changed the sand to a looser variety and I had to open the face to get it out.
Great tip ...
What do you do if the sand is hard and/or wet? Do you jus skim the surface and use a different club?
Thx
Finally, a swing thought I can use. Hard to swing too fast in the sand if the face is open. Loved your work on your site. LHTom.
