Randall Hunt
The pros make flop shots look easy, but the technique they use is risky and not easy to repeat if you don’t play golf every day. In this tip, Randall Hunt teaches a killer flop shot tip that simplifies the motion and allows you to execute consistently with minimal practice.

Randall,
Great tip, I have been trying to get my wrists to "flick" at just the right time for years with significantly varying results. Since I only get out to play 15 to 20 times a year I just don't get enough repetition to execute consistently.
I can't wait to practice this and use it on the course.
Awesome Michael! Glad you enjoyed this tip. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you on the course the next time you play. Comment here and let me know how it goes. Remember the more your body turns the less active your hands will be. Follow me at @golfnetics for more tips. I have several more tips coming here on Golf Pass as well
I am sorry for sending multiple comments, but I got this message when I tried to reply "This message has been rejected for inappropriate language." So I am going to split up my message to see if I can figure what word is "inappropriate".
Randall, I was able to practice and play on a simulator this weekend, and all I can say is I have never felt so dialed in near the green.
I was able to hit the ball on a (fairly) consistent basis without scalding it 70 yards across the green, or hitting the ground behind the ball and duffing it 10 feet.
The only thing I noticed was that my swing path was usually "outside/in", and I was hitting the ball off the toe of the club. Is this a shoulder alignment issue that I need to work on, or something else?
Thank you again, I will probably drop at least 5 strokes per round just from this tip.
Michael C.
Instead of trying to flick your wrists, try practicing with just your right hand.
Place the putter in your life line of your hand. So your palm is going the same direction as the face. Keep your right elbow close to your side. Allow your forearms to swing back and forth. If you do this, the face of the putter will swing on a perfect arc. You won’t need to worry about your wrists.
After a few putts one handed, put your other hand on.
Now out two handed. Keep your elbows close to your sides.
If you have trouble, email me.
