Hi Randall, I just tried this yesterday and in fairway grass and slightly firmer it was money. When I got around greens in higher Bermuda it didn’t seem to bounce easily. Is there something I am not doing. Thank you!
I’ve found 10 degree bounce to be the best for all grasses. 12 degree is tough on firmer grass and 8 and below can dig too much if technique it off. 10 degree bounce in my opinion has the biggest room for error
That may be the best series of tips and insights on bounce I have heard. Well done. Thank you! The only thing missing, which I would love to hear more about, are "degrees" of bounce. I know there is no one size that fits all situations but guidance on bounce the amateur should consider would be huge if say, you carry 2 wedges. Or 3 wedges? What more or less bounce does in the shot demonstrated in this video? Thank you.
Correct yes ball is forward. It has to be so you can drop the club behind the ball to use the bounce
Hi Randall, when the camera shows your setup is the ball about a ball width forward of center or a little more forward than that. It is hard to tell based on the camera position.
