How to Stop Sliding
Do you struggle with sliding too much in the backswing? Tony Ruggiero demonstrates two drills, one for the range and one with a resistance band, to train making proper turns and avoiding the weak slide.

Thanks for this Tony. I find the turn into the right (rear) leg easier as I consciously think of loading up into my right side while I'm over the ball. What I really struggle with is the turn on the downswing being triggered by the lead side and hip and I slide a good 6 inches before I make the turn. This makes squaring the club up really hard. I guess the resistance band drill will help with this but do you have any other thoughts on why I'm not "turning in the barrel"?
I have only 20% vision in my left eye . I believe that am right eye dominant > How does this affect my alignment?
Love these tips Tony, thanks. I have the sway off the ball issue too and a two way miss as a result. Either a late flip of the hands or too late to avoid a push right.
Thanks Tony, I’ll give both of those a try.
What about the slide forward ?
Swaying is definitely a problem for me, especially when the back gets tight. Nice tips.
