Great tip Eric
Good advice to press into that trail foot. Needed that!
Love that explanation. I would really like to see what to do with the rest of the swing. When do you break your right elbow etc. Thanks
Thanks for the tip.
Grip pressure on takeaway and when do wrists get set? Thanks
Thanks for the tip and on how to get more distance
Eric: Great tips on setup especially the idea of pressing down to shift weight. I had a question about the 2nd tip about trying to take the tip out. One of my golf instructors told me that I should take my driver straight back until it felt "slightly uncomfortable" and then to hinge my wrist to take the club. He said this technique would help to get a wide takeaway. On the surface, this seems to line up with what you are saying because when I watch you swing, you seem take the driver straight back for about a foot before hinging. So am I getting this right? Does this align with what you are saying? Thanks, VVR
Typo in second sentence. Should have read. "i had a question about the 2nd tip about trying to get a wide swing".
You have taught me so much with respect to gaining vast distance with each of my irons that I cannot wait to try this at the range. Thank you so much!
I try to feel my weight inside my right heel in the takeaway. I then make getting my weight to the outside of my left heel the objective., coupled with this I try to make my right knee touch my left knee.
What I am not conscious of is the width of my takeaway, I need to make sure this is happening. Eric, thank you for this suggestion.
