Interesting idea. If you line up the putt and take your practice swings 12 to 15 inches behind the ball you are likely to hit the ball 12 to 15 inches beyond the hole which is exactly the distance you should be aiming for. When you give practice tips in a simple way like this they are very useful.
I understand the concept of setting up consistently & in the sequence of steps you have described, but isn't there a fundamental, physical action that has to be performed? I.e., the trail hand grip in positioning the clubhead behind the ball, as well as the position of the shaft where the trail hand is holding it must be in the precise position of where the clubhead & shaft will be when the swinging club will be at impact? So learning how your trail arm, hand , grip, shaft & clubhead look at impact is fundamental & necessary for the golfer to know to be able to do this setup. I think this process could even be done by positioning the club with the lead arm & hand first & then adding the trail hand grip if it is more comfortable or logical to the golfer.
Tees are not always level. You may want to hit a fade given the shape of the hole, but when you take your stance, you may find your feet are below the ball and you feel you should play a draw.. often with bad results. Any suggestions?
Lost my swing after a medical issue and totally forgot to do my pre shot routine. Could not figure it out. Thanks for reminding me how the swing starts the sequence.
Think this set up you brought to my attention is really great. I hit my drive pretty good. But, many times it's off to the right or left. I
think this will help me keep it straight. Thanks.
My grandson raises up on his back swing and has a difficult time hitting the ball clean with his head moving up so much (6 plus inches) when he swings. He has some learning issues and wondering if there are drills he could use or videos you have done to fix that issue?
