I seem to hit my hybrids better if I choke up on the club although I probably won't get as much distance. I am beginning to hate these clubs. Maybe my stance is not wide enough.

This brought back some memories. I went to a practice round at Kemper Lakes before the PGA Championship. The 18th hole was a dogleg left over water. It was a 300 yard carry to reach the green. At the time, Greg Norman was the only player who could drive the ball that far, so they planted three trees in front of the tee box to force him to hit his drive to the fairway. After hitting his drive, the crowd started chanting for him to go for it. He reached into his bag and pulled out a tee as big as your water bottle. He almost cleared the trees, you could hear the ball hitting some of the leaves, and came up a few yards short of the green in the water. Totally awesome, 290 yard carry over the trees!!!
