Is your chipping technique correct but something still feels off? In today's tip, Michelle Winkler breaks down a drill to help with your ball position perception and the difference in rollout.

Is it the arms or the shoulders that moves the club both ways?
Which ball position should you use when chipping from thick rough. I live in the Mid-Atlantic. In the fall and spring, the grass grows quickly. Most chips are from deep and thick grass even if you are feet from the green. We host USGA events at my club, so it is not due to green keeper negligence!
Great info Michelle on the different chipping positions and roll out for each position. Definitely helpful info to use on the course.
Wouldn't the width of your stance effect ball position also? And if so, what would you recommend as a good starting point for stance width.
Best advice ever for ball placement while chipping!
Well that will help me a lot ! I had a mastectomy and then reconstruction and chipping is still my issue. I have worked through all my other shots … but can’t figure out my arms with my new body Lol
This makes a ton of sense to me since I really struggle with this, now know why. I can't wait to try these out. Thank you so much Michelle and have a great week!!
Michele,
I have always been accurate with the middle position but didn't know how to address the other two positions. Now I'm more comfortable with the other two positions as well. Great lesson!!
Thanks,
