Ironclad Golf and Beer Garden
About
Ironclad Golf and Beer Garden (formerly known as Belvedere Country Club) in Hampstead begins along the Intracoastal Waterway and then moves inland towards the clubhouse. The back nine is routed through tall forests that provide a home to grey heron and osprey. The golf course forms a large figure eight, which means you won't find any parallel fairways, but you will also be faced with wind whipping in every direction. The unique layout consists of six par 3s, seven par 4s, and five par 5s that all place a heavier emphasis on accuracy than distance. Many of the greens are elevated and the fairways are lined with trees. The par 3s are some of the most demanding holes due to their small, narrow greens. They are the toughest greens to hit in regulation but luckily if your placement isn't perfect there are still opportunities to save your score.

Great place to enjoy golf
Enjoy playing golf here have recently picked my clubs up again after a long stretch of not playing and have enjoyed playing here at IRON CLAD
Nice course overall
Good condition although the greens were a touch slow because they hadn't been cut in a while. I enjoyed the layout and the friendliness of the staff.
Nice staff!
This course gets better every time I play it! I was paired with an excellent young gentleman named Chase who worked at the course. Not only was he a great golfer, he was super friendly and knowledgeable about the course. Looking forward to my next visit to Ironclad!
Nice improving course
Good basic course that gets better each time I visit. Back side has a third par 3 that could (and should) easily be converted into a par 4 to make it a par 36 side. One of the other par 3’s on this side is still under reconstruction but seems to be close to completion
Fun and challenging course
It’s a fun and challenging course, off course amenities are nice with the shake taco and beer garden. There’s also a farmers market. On course, the driving range is nice, has nice mats and good target layout. The fairways have a decent challenge and the greens are all sloped so a perfect challenge for the short game. Also the bonus of the beer cart coming hourly is a nice touch
Still a work in progress
We enjoyed our round of golf at Iron Clad.fairways were in decent shape and most of the greens also…although there is still have one temporary green.
We finished play in under 4 hours and always enjoy a cold refreshment afterwards.
Greens had some pretty bad areas but that is the only complaint. Great deal for the money!
great shape considering little rain
very nice greens were very good fairways very good considering little rain tee boxes just ok a bit rough
Ok layout needs better maintenance
It’s ok the greens are in bad shape however for the most part.
Fun Day
I had a fun day playing at Ironclad.
It’s still very early spring & the course and greens are recovering from winter.
Had to play cart path only because of what the staff said was an overnight frost. I teed off at noon; no sign of frost or any wet areas, but cart path it was
Because the greens for the most part slope towards your approach shot; if you are above the whole you have a very challenging downhill put.
It’s a fun place to play & great value for the $
Ok at best
Saw reviews this was good place …. Buildings are being renovated which isn’t an issue and check were friendly. After that greens had large bare areas of sand, overseed was average, tees had no grass and where they did it was 2-3” long
There was a temp green on the back nine no one told us about.
Was a cold day so we had course almost to ourselves.
Highlight of the day were the tacos. Just go there for tacos great staff and food was excellent!
