Perfect course!!!

We are from New Jersey. The weather was so nice, and the staff at the Pro Shop and especially the female staff at the grill bar were very, very kind. I played at Blue Tee, and the course was smooth and the layout was good. There are a few places where the tee box and green need to be modified. But overall, I am satisfied. I plan to come again when I travel to Virginia next time.

Quiet Afternoon at GN

We’ve been coming to play Greensboro National several times a year for over 15 years. Good layout with a variety of shots needed and generous fairways. Even though it was a gorgeous on Monday afternoon, we played with almost no one else on the course. No waiting, finishing in just over 3 hours. Course in good shape, with fairways starting to come out. The only issue is pricing. For some reason the course has bumped up their rates substantially , with senior rates at $60 , well over comparable local courses such as Bryan Park, Tanglewood, Oak Valley and Salem Glen. This is a good course, but maybe not at the higher price point. I realize many courses are increasing rates to take advantage of golf’s recent boom in popularity, but that’s not an excuse to gouge, because at some point people are going to stop paying. Maybe the lack of players Monday is an indication??

Great course. Hidden gem.

Really enjoyed our round. Tee’d off at 11 am on a Monday and finished in 31/2 hrs. No one in front or behind us. Layout was fun. Just enough water to make it challenging. Great value. Will definitely play again.

Impressive

My partner and I (from Pinehurst) looking for new adventure and place to play in Greensboro area, when we stumbled upon a hot deal for the National. The size of the course is most impressive, with wide fairways, large soft greens. The practice area was one of the largest I’ve seen. Staff and food were fantastic. Great experience- of course it helps when a low scoring round which may lay some bias to my review.

Great place

Incredible place to spend your day. Beautiful course. Well kept. Great greens that roll perfect and quick. Only complain was the pins were in Sunday configuration. If you weren’t in the right spot forget about it. Such a challenge but completely worth it. Next time I’m in the area I’m coming back for a second try.

Great course

Played course couple weeks after aeration, could tell they were letting the greens grow little more than regular,so they rolled a little slow. still could see the sand and holes but they putted true, nice layout! Huge greens and even with grass been mostly dormant we still had good lies!

Still Early

Greens are recovering from being punched for the season.

Grass is dormant so I expected these conditions. Very nice course.

Sandy Greens/Nice Course

Very nice course layout. We were not aware the greens were just punched and sanded. Pro shop gave us all a bucket of balls for the driving range. That was nice. Enjoyed the course and may return when greens are normal.

Would love to see it green!

Great course, fun layout with plenty of space if you don’t hit it straight every time. Good winter conditions, I am sure this course is beautiful and in great condition when spring comes. Green are large but pure even in the off season.

My favorite course in GSO so far.

Greensboro national is one of my favorite courses so far in the Greensboro area. The course itself is nicely, balanced concerning difficulty. The greens have always been in good shape. The PGA pro and staff are always polite and will always give you a heads up of the greens when scheduling or when arriving for your round absolutely a professional and lively place to play alone or with a group. You can’t beat those views over the water as well.

Nice

It would take me a long time to get bored with this track. The Greens were pretty much perfect. For Nov, it was in great shape. I would definitely play again.

The staff were top notch.

Phenomenal experience, great value

Incredibly beautiful setting and amazing views. Super fun layout. It reminded me of what it looks like on TV when watching the Masters. From Tee to fairway to green, just really well maintained. Staff was super friendly, Jeremy the pro stopped by during our round to chat briefly. The value was amazing, I would expect to pay double the price or more and would do it. Felt like we had the course to ourselves. A must stop if you’re in NC for golf.
