Eagles Pride Golf Course - Blue/Green
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course boasts a reputation as one of the best courses in western Washington. Located in the shadow of Mount Rainier, the course is less than 10 miles from both Lacey and Hawks Prairie as well as just a short drive from JBLM and DuPont. The 27-hole layout consists of three nines: Blue, Green, and Red; that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Blue/Green Course begins with one of the original nines when the course first opened as Fort Lewis Golf Course in 1940. The Green nine was added in 1979. The classic design of the front nine is slightly less challenging than the back, where you'll find plenty of trees and strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on a few holes.
Previously known as Blue/Green at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Golfer Reviews
One of the Pacific Northwest best golf values - some championship holes and approaches, some forgiving holes - a good mix.
First time playing
Course was in good conditions. Fairways, Greens, and teeboxes were top notch. The layout was challenging. A lot of dog leg lefts meaning if you cannot hit a draw, club down to a fairway wood or hybrid. Regardless, had a great time.
Great course for the monney
Booked my tee time through GolfNow. Was a "Hot Deal". Got the round and cart for $40... GREAT DEAL! The staff was friendly and helpful, course conditions were good, the layout provided a nice challenge for the average golfer. Would definitely recommend this course and look forward to playing there again.
Fun and challenging
What a fun layout. Staff was great one player was late and they ran him out to meet us a couple holes into the round.
Nice local gem!
Greens in great shape, some challenging hikes and a nice classic layout. Pace was slow because it was Sunday afternoon. Staff and marshal were friendly and informative. Will definitely play again and recommend to friends.
Old military course open to public now and maintained wonderfully
We played on Sat morning so the course was very busy so pace of play was slow as expected. The course was fun, challenging, and beautiful layout. The cost was a great deal for this course on a weekend. My handicap is 16 and I played my average… for a new course I was very pleased with that. I will play again for certain!!!
Undewhelming
I was hyped to play this place. Proshop was great, Starter, not so much. Most of the greens are flat-ish but slow and I think you have to play here often otherwise the greens are unreadable. Fairways are good height but lots of crappy grass. 7 dogleg left holes (like Whispering Firs). Several Bunkers are ready for paving (thin layer of sand but below that is compacted to 95% maximum density). The place is way over-rated in my opinion.
Staff assistance
My tee time was 1103, there were several spots earlier. The pro shop allowed me to go out by myself at about 1055. No one in front of me for 5 holes. Made it a very fast round!! Always appreciated!!
