Eagles Pride Golf Course - Green/Red
About
Eagles Pride Golf Course has long been known as one of the best military courses in the country and luckily for golfers, it's open to the public. Originally opened in 1940, the course started as the 18-hole Fort Lewis Golf Course. Another nine was added in 1979 but it wasn’t until the mid-1990s that it became Eagles Pride. The three nines are called the Green, Red, and Blue, and they are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Green/Red Course starts with the newest and most challenging of the three nines. The course will test you with plenty of trees, water hazards, undulating slopes, and even the occasional blind shot. There are some tough holes but players of all skill levels could enjoy any of the nines.
Previously known as Green/Red at Fort Lewis Golf Course.

Excellent value
The pro shop staff was very friendly, and checking in was easy! Pace of play was good, didn't stand around waiting to hit and wasn't pushed.
The restaurant staff was friendly and helpful.
Course plays long
Course was in good condition. Greens have lots of undulations and roll true. Plenty of challenges for all level of golfers. Worth playing if your in the area.
Great course that will kick your butt
I love this course. Lots of terrain changes. Lots of sidehill lies, uphill lies, downhill lies. Rare to find a level second shot unless you play smart. Bunkers are hard in the mornings and loosen up when it dries out. Greens are in very good condition and pin placements are tough. There are a lot of contours on the greens making a lot of 1 putt birdies into 3 putt bogeys. After you get your butt kicked, the restaurant is an awesome place to wind down. Staff is super friendly and the rates are great.
Need more access to water while walking course
Add water dispenser every few holes or increase beverage cart frequency. Only saw cart once and all vending machines were out of water.
Very nice and long.
Played the course in 4.5 hours. A little slow but this is a long course for walkers. I normally walk however took a cart on this day. First time playing in about 4 years. Staff person very friendly in the pro shop. Starter not so much but certainly not an issue. Great challenging course.
Nice day
Good weather, fun group i gor hooked up with. Greens were in good shape, a tad slow in my opinion. Rest of course was in very good shape.
Great value!
Despite wet conditions, course was in great shape and the greens rolled true.
Great course
The greens were not very smooth, putts were hopping after contact
Nice Round
Despite the fact that we are stil in the middle of winter, the course was well drained with very few muddy areas. It was a quiet day with no one behind me so it was a very relaxed round. Unfortunately, I did catch up with the foursome in front of me around the 6th hole and had to wait at every tee after that. They were unfortunately not playing "ready golf", and I think the course should get the message out that this should be the norm. I finished in about 4 1/2 hours.
Eagles pride
Overall good experience. Greens were a little soggy but good for this time of year. Speed of play was good.
Great value for a really decent course!
Staff is always friendly here!
All 3 9's are good and unique. Really good shape always, especially this time of year though!
Miss the BBQ place...
Still amazing and I'll be back many times!
Classic NW Course, Care-less Golfers
So much potential here... 27 holes, good practice area, affordable rates. Sad to see it go downhill over the last decade. Presume EPGC has limited resources for course maintenance, but a bigger issue is golfers who don't fill divots and repair ball marks on greens. Inexcusable.
