Golfer Reviews
Needs some investment
The course has seen alot of rain recently so the fairway conditions were rough . Its a great track, just needs a little investment. The bunkers need new sand and some are just plain horrible . We got behind an outing with poor etiquette and who damaged the greens a lot . She needs a little TLC.
FPN
The bad: Over all...Horrible, horrible condition. Beyond sad to dee the course in this shape and the original design completely butchered up. Former top 25 public track in country.
The good: the greens were fast and true. New greenside bunkers are finally playable even though they have been shallowed and reshaped. Some completely eliminated.
I played this course the day it opened and have been playing it ever since. Still a special place in my heart regardless!
Golf
It has been quite some time since I played this course. It was magnificent will definitely play again
This is a great layout
Greenside bunker renovation complete and they are very good. Fairway bunkers are unplayable but told that they will be addressed next. The rough was very tough. This is a great golf course, always enjoy playing it.
Great track
The track itself was awesome and in great shape. The staff were friendly. Range balls were reasonably priced. Not much in the way of bathrooms on the course. Only saw the cart girl 1 time on hole 14. Lots of room for improvement in the way of on the course amenities.
Late booking
I’d go back. I played from 6100 or so yards hitting my drives anywhere in between 225 265 and saw this place to be a great challenge. Played bogey golf. I need to putt better. They have a great practice facility I drove past on the way in and out. Maybe I should hit it up
Disappointed
Perhaps closing the course for a week or two and fix everything then reopen would be more prudent.
Getting There
They’re finally starting to put money into the course and it shows. Some of the sand traps need sand but the tee boxes are much better.
Rumor has it, when the course is complete, the price is going to go up.
A good course with moderate difficulty
The course is in reasonably good condition. There are several sand bunkers being repaired. Several areas on the cart path need repairs... especially between holes 10 and 11, and around hole 15. Water hazards are major eye-sores, with very thick algae formation.
Best value in Chicago!
Championship course returning to former glory. Recent rehab includes all new green side bunkers. Construction finishing soon but minimal disruption currently. Course is in great condition.
Great value for the money
The course was very challenging, but it was in great shape and we had a great time. The pace of play was excellent and will definitely come back again.
Review
Beautiful course to play at. A great value at 40 for the course.’
Getting There
Definitely improving the overall course conditions, especially the sand traps. Pace of play in painful, even at 6:30 am during be week They need rangers out there rangering…
Premier course with a budget price
Been playing for for nearly 30 years, grew up with a PGA pro as a father. This course should charge $60-$80 for riding 18 for the quality, layout, conditions, and other amenities.
