Course under construction
There’s 3 Greens/Sand traps around the Greens are under construction…Holes 6/7/8 have temporary greens which is pretty much a FAIRWAY that they put a flag on.
Take a pass until work is completed
I disagree with all the wonderful reviews of dunne. First off, temporary greens on #6, 7, and 8. would have been nice if they didn’t lie to us when they said just #6. how ‘bout a discount on the rate while this is going on. pace of play out here is always terrible; never any rangers to move things along. besides all this work on the traps, they need to repair the cart paths; need to see an orthopedic afterwards. on #1 we realized no sand/seed in the bottle. lots of little things like this suggests going elsewhere the rest of this season.
Great day for George Dunne
The weather was great but a little windy and the course was in good condition. I only wish I knew holes 6 & 7 were under Contruction beforehand.
But the greens were fast and the course is in good shape.
Fun Course
It was very windy and all bunkers were being renovated, but once every is done and on a nice day, this course will be a blast! The course was in great shape despite it raining for the past week.
And I only paid $35 for 18 and a Cart for a Sunday!
I will be back for sure.
Wet
Unfortunately, course was super wet, due to rain the previous 2 days, a lot of standing water, sand traps flooded, otherwise, it is a great course, numerous challenging holes
BAD SAND TRAPS
GREAT VALUE ..FAIRWAYS AND GREENS WERE GREAT..JUST NEED TO FIX THE SAND
March Golf! Great staff!!
We love this course & always get great service from the staff inside and out!! Jim the starter always gives us the necessary info we need for the round, knowledgeable & friendly!!! The course is always in good condition and we know the bunkers have been an issue even in midseason, but looking forward to this year‘s improvements that Jim let us know are on the way! Here’s where you know of course is run right, we were to some groups with another twosome. By hole 5 we called the pro shop and let them know that there was @ least a 3 hole gap between the slow group ahead of us & the next 4some. They sent starter Jim out who informed the group ahead of us to pick up the pace. He stopped by our group & said it shouldn’t be a problem again but if it does just give another call! That’s all you can ask for & more than you get than at most courses these days. Will keep coming back for the course, Jim and the team there!
Stick Em Up!
Listen, I formerly have enjoyed this course years ago. Seeking an opportunity for a good venue to invite friends for a season ending match (12 guys), I wound up having to apologize not only for the condition of the course but, for the “stick em up” price that were charged. It was November 2, 2025, and they were charging $81 dollars. ‘When do you start Fall rates….IN THE SPRING!!!???
Leaves everywhere, traps totally unplayable, (Dirt/Mud) and not a staff crew working ANYWHERE!
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO GLENWOODIE!
Mr. Robinson,
Thank you for playing George Dunne National, and for taking the time to share your feedback.
We typically implement winter pricing after the daylight savings time switch, so prices changed Monday, November 3. The bunker project is under way, and that's been high on our capital improvement list. We also had full shop and food & beverage staff, but we'd like to understand where we had service gaps.
We certainly strive for a very high standard, so your dissatisfaction doesn't sit well with us. Please reach out to us at info.georgedunne@forestpreservegolf.com so we can work toward a remedy.
Thank you,
The George Dunne Team
Exceptional course, layout, great staff
The design of this course is excellent, the fairways and greens are in excellent shape, however the sand traps need better sand. I will definitely be returning to this course and recommended highly, as a great value and wonderful golfing experience!
Play here
Great time of year to play here. Weekends get crowded though
Saturday round of golf
Great layout and the course is in good shape
However, the bunkers are terrible. Pace of play was 5 hours. Needed a ranger today
Avoid if you hate slow play
We walked off when we saw 3 groups stacked on 17 tee box. It took 4.5 hours to play 16 holes, waiting on every hole for slow players ahead of us. Called the pro shop on 6th tee, who told us someone was already on their way out to get groups moving. Nothing changed.
Twosome we were with quit after 9 and we were able to play through one group, but it didn’t matter. Where are the rangers?
Bunkers were hard-packed dirt and a few mud patches. A rip off at $80.
Great course, crap bunkets
Love Dunnes challenging layout that meanders through the forest. Usually in good condition except for the bunkers,of which there are many. If they ever did a bunker renovation and fixed their bunker drainage issues that course would be amazing.
Course operator here. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and thoughts. We appreciate that came to play George Dunne, and please know that while we (and clearly other reviewers) are beyond excited to bring the bunkers into the future, we still strive to provide a great experience during renovations. You point out areas where we can - and will - tighten up. We'd like to learn more about your suggestions, so please reach out directly at info.georgedunne@forestpreservegolf.com. Thanks again for your feedback.
