About
Founded in 1917, Washoe Golf Course is the oldest golfing facility in Reno. The layout has small greens and tree-lined fairways, but the fairways are wide and flat making them fairly forgiving. There are water hazards and bunkers strategically placed throughout. The mature landscape is carefully maintained with an elaborate sprinkler system that ensures that the course is green and ready for play all year round. Washoe Golf Course also has PGA Professionals on staff to help with individual or group instruction and extensive practice facilities that include a generous putting green, driving range, and a chipping area with practice bunker.

Washoe course
The greens were fast, the fairways were in much better shape than the last time I played this course. I would recommend it to a friend
Slow Play!!!
Played this course several of times and always slow. Tee time was 20 mins behind schedule quit after 13 holes because that was 4.5 hours already! Course was the nicest I have seen ever though. Only go because it’s in town not worth it other than that.
Manager ride
Did not tell us all carts had to be returned by 5pm, manager came out on course and was rude. Our pace of play was 4:20 mins.
Fun course
Good course for the money.
Fairways 6 out of ten greens 8 out of ten course lay out 8 out of ten. Pretty fair course good layout.
Do they care?
Pace of play was incredibly slow. We waited 3-4 minutes EVERY hole. Called the clubhouse to no avail. Nothing changed. Took just over 5 hours to play. The guys in front of us and behind us were all angry about the situation. Greens are in good shape, but just the lack of care (weeds, dead limbs and trash) just goes to show they don't really care. Pic 1 - teebox on 13. The group on the green was two holes behind. Pic 2 - trash can on hole 13. C'mon man!!
Had people start on hole ten right in front of me making the turn. Backed up the whole course.
Washoe County
Great course, starts out nice and wide open on the front 9 and the back becomes more challenging. Greens are being aerated right now so putting is a little interesting on top of the already challenging greens. Love the course overall and the value is top notch.
