The Club at ArrowCreek - Legend Course

About
The Legend at The Club at ArrowCreek brings Arnie's Army to Reno's golf and gambling mecca. Or at least, Arnold Palmer's golf course design touch. Palmer is the architect of Legend, one of two 18-hole showcase courses at The Club at ArrowCreek. Legend throws forced carries, striking native desert grasses and plush speedy greens at golfers without trying to beat them up quite as much as its sister course, The Challenge.
Palmer - the people's champion - seems to undertand how to put together a course for the people too. ArrowCreek Legend weaves around ravines, dry creeks and rocks. It can really give the golfer a sense of being away from it all - even though it's a quick drive to Reno's downtown casinos.
ArrowCreek Legend's finishing stretch tends to leave golfers talking. No. 17 is a short 294-yard par 4 that just screams at players to try and carry the big bunker in front of the green. Usually in score-deflating futility. Then, No, 18 throws a 442-yard par 4 that includes a big ravine carry at golfers.
Don't relax once you're on the green eihter. ArrowCreek Legend's 18 is the fastest green on the entire course. And ArrowCreek takes pride in its fast greens.

Delightful Course
Keep the ball in the fairway at all cost. Most holes have heavy brush along the fairway, and a missed fairway is a lost ball. The course is in very good shape, the clubhouse is very nice, and the practice facilities are excellent. We played from the rust colored tees and found most holes challenging, but fair. I would highly recommend playing this course.
It was cold but we had a lo beautiful scenery.
The course offers a lot of good things, beautiful scenery, good layout, challenging but a lot of giveaway too with good slopes. One of the great courses that I have enjoyed plaint, will have to come back when the weather is better. Golfnow.com is doing a great service to golfers like myself, retired on limited income. I enjoyed the game thoroughly with only 4 over par, really a good score recently. Thanks Golfnow.
Interesting Course
Course was in good condition, not too many people playing. I did get a late start due to pro shop person had to take care of something on the course. I'm still a beginner golfer so on some holes I could not reach the green from the tee box, but course is still fun to play. Better hurry tho, as of May 1 they will be private again
Waited on every hole-crowded
A 55 degree day in January. Paid only $25 at Golfnow for a 1 pm tee time. Soon discovered that the good weather and low prices had attracted quite a few others. Had to play the front 9 twice to get out of the bunch up. Course itself was very nice and in good winter condition.
The Club at Arrow Creek, Reno Jan 2015
Booked a trip to Reno over the MLK holiday in January. Played three courses over three days; Arrow Creek was day three. Newer course, recent aeration, clean with scenic views. Located in a residential community, with beautiful views of the mountains. Watch the OB areas, stay in the middle or else. San traps need maintenance. Fairways and greens (fast) in good shape. Want to go back in the spring or summer.

Course in good winter condition. Great value on Golf NOW.
Arrow Creek
Had a good time and the course was in good condition and offered quite a challenge.
Very nice course
We seemed to have the golf course to ourselves due to it being in the 40's temperature wise. As a result, we were able to play very quickly and with absolutely no problems. The course was in excellent condition and the clubhouse is beautiful.
Good value
Considering the time of the year, course and greens were in good condition. We would definitely play again. Challenging, but fair.
hilly and great view of mountains and downtown Reno
Very nice course for the price esp since we played on Sunday. Very difficult hilly course with very fast greens. Did not play well but the pace was good and the other players on the course extremely courteous.
Very scenic and enjoyed playing the course.
A must play in the Reno area!
Challenging course, in very good condition. Fast, undulating greens. Fantastic city and valley views!
my favorite course in Nevada and California
Not for beginner. If you can't hit 100 yards in the air, you won't get to half of the fairways. The course is scenic looking down on Reno from a great height. Great variety of holes. Turns, ups and downs, canyon tees. This is a really, really fun course.
Not For The Novice Golfer
I'm not a good gofler, but I'm not a bad golfer. This course made me a bad golfer. I personally would not play here again until I improved my game.
Windy & fast
Overall the course was not bad. The greens were excellent however the fairways needed mowing and there were bare spots on several holes. A little too pricey for the course conditions compared to other courses in the area.
Great Designs, victim of the economy
Played both the Challenge and the Legend course over the past few days, and I have to say the Challenge course has some of the most memorable holes that I have ever played. I tend to like target, iron making courses, but Zoeller has made this course usable with the driver on most holes, lots of room, then allows you to place your iron shot with plenty of risk reward scenarios.
The Legend course was a bit slow to start, but the back 9 is really remarkable.
Arrowcreek has been in bankruptcy since spring, and it shows in some areas. Food menu is VERY limited, their maintenance staff has some pretty significant projects that need to be done on the fairways and some of the tee boxes. They also have a watering issue, dried out areas and then flooded soaking wet areas all in the same tee box or fairways. That being said the bunkers (my litmus test for courses) were in perfect shape, raked, plenty of sand etc, and the greens were in EXCELLENT shape. I can tell they are focusing their limited resources in the right areas. The greens were a pleasure to play on, soft enough to hold an approach shot, but still plenty fast and SMOOTH.
Word on the street says the reorganization should be done this fall, so I have high hopes for service improvement in the food and beverage area along with the fairway trouble spots next season.
Very fast greens and course in good shape!
Staff very courteous and greens extremely fast. 3 putted a lot! The course was a lot of fun to play.
ArrowCreek rocks
The staff at ArrowCreek was outstanding. The starter met us at the practice tees, introduced himself and paired us up. He also met us at the first tee, explained some of the nuances of the course and sent us off on time. The cart tenders were also very accommodating and helpful.
Nice course!!
Nice course- Great value with GolfNow discount!!! The pace of play was slow even on a Monday afternoon. Teeing areas were spotty.- no grass. I would play this course again.
Nice Course but difficult narrow fairways
The course is very nice, but the fairways are narrow and the greens are extremely fast. Wolf Run, which is across the street is more enjoyable, but this course is still a great deal. Also, no GPS in carts which was weird. Fantastic locker room
nice resort style course
nicely maintained with lots of challenge, but accuracy especially on front 9 and you are fine. Some gorges to hit over, wind can be strong in foothills, so club up. Nice landscaping, nice design, enjoyed it and will play again. Nice signage design, good restrooms, beautiful clubhouse. big practice area and range.
