About
Wolf Run Golf Club is one of south Reno's most popular courses. The course is situated amid the Sierra Foothills, tumbling across a picturesque desert landscape sprinkled with native flora. The layout has many risk-reward opportunities and the par-3 holes are especially fun. The hilly terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing some tricky uneven lies and there is a meandering creek that slithers along the fairways. Though it's wide open, the golf course requires a bit of accuracy and some good course management. The elevated tees offer some spectacular views as well as some intimidating approaches to the fast, undulating greens. In addition to the golf course, Wolf Run also has a practice facility with a driving range and putting and chipping greens. You can also get your clubs repaired on site.

A little bit wet
Course is in my opinion a little too wet. Greens are in great shape & running a little bit quick. Once you get your rhythm on the greens. A lot of wet areas so we played clean & place. My second time playing it. I’ll play it again.
Disappointed
The pictures looked great and the course layout is good and the setting is picturesque. The execution was flawed in almost every way. Conditions were poor, sprinklers going off randomly, torn up fairways from overwatering although the greens were pretty good. Worst of all was the pace of play, we walked off after taking over 4 hours to play 13 holes and lots of waiting to go. Probably over 6 hours if we stayed. Also, the course is understaffed in the bar and oncourse and most of them were not friendly, in fact seemed unhappy to be there.
Play somewhere else
Course is completely overwatered and has bare spots in places. Marshall has no authority to force players to keep up with the group in front of them….took 5:40 to play.
Course layout is good and the greens are in great shape.
Management needs to empower the course Marshall to discipline groups that do not want to keep up with the group in front of them. Some groups were two holes behind.
A Good Day
Played Wolf Run on my first ever visit to Reno. It was reasonably priced and an interesting track that required some thought.Elevation changes and some breaks in the fairways by vegetation or creeks made it fun and sometimes nervous tee shots.
Lift clean and place
Wet fairways create lots of mud on the ball. Had to play ball in hand for the whole round.
Great course. Lots of challenges with elevations, fairway/rough undulations, natural features. Course is in good shape except for some water in fairways, which is understandable given the hot conditions that day. My single recommendation is the course needs better distance markers to the green once you leave the tee box. Yes, there are some technical options for this, but not everyone has them.
Paid extra for my own cart because another person did not want to pair up.
I'm tired of having the awkward pairing of singles into one cart. If the other person refuses to pair up, I get stuck with the bill. .

Nice course
Some muddy spots here and there. Some of the greens were bumpy and needed work. Overall a fun semi-challenging course.
