Bear Creek Golf Club - West Course

The customer service and golfer-focus approach is the best around.

The layout and conditions were great for the most part. Only course condition I found to be a problem was some sand traps had sand that was shallow or not enough sand on the bed. I ended up hitting rocks below the sand when found my self in one of the sand traps on front 9. Damaged my wedge slightly.

Par for the course here. Awful wait times on the back nine, expect to wait behind 3-4 groups and wait 20-25 mins per tee box.

Par for the course Bear Creek. Wait behind 3-4 groups spending 20 minutes per hole at the tee box. No Marshalls to keep folks on pace. Good course for 9 holes, far below average for 18.

Played the West course and really enjoyed it. Great condition. Greens are quick and true. Forgiving fairways with lots of elevation changes. Got a little bottled up on the back but overall pace was good.

Course was in good shape with pace of place excellent.

Great place to play even during the heat! Waters are available on each 9 for you to grab. Pace was great for a Saturday

Fantastic course, even better staff. Only complaint was they had complimentary waters, but it was 104 degrees out and all the coolers were empty by the time we got to them.

Greens were obviously under maintenance, punched and heavily sanded. It was like putting in a bunker.

Our course is currently being renovated so we’re playing wherever we can. Haven’t played Bear Creek in over a decade and the West course was on fairly good shape (greens punched a week ago or so). The staff was as friendly and personable as you’ll find, better than some private clubs.

Played the West course. Very challenging course from the Blue. I enjoyed the elevation changes. Greens were punched about a month ago and will be ready in another week or two. Some tee boxes need attention but mostly good. 4+30 to play 18 was a bit much. The course needs a marshaller to keep groups moving. Groups in front were playing cart golf and not ready golf. I’ll be back. Great place to play.

This is one of the best bargains for golf in DFW. Good grass and good greens. What is not good is the play from the bunkers. There is not near enough sand in the bunkers. It feels like hitting off of concrete.

The carts are good with a small screen gps, but there are no signs that tell you when to get off the fairway so they shut down without warning and make you do the backup of shame.
