Westdale Hills Golf Course

About
Originally the “elite” Sotogrande Country Club, a fancy 1960s par 3 track that was the finest of its kind in Texas, Westdale Hills was given new life in the late 1990s after being run down and abandoned. Part of the Westdale Hills apartment complex, the course plays around a lake, with water coming into play on most holes if you’re really hacking it up. Only three holes force a carry of the water. A few bunkers allow you to work on your short game, and the well-kept Bermuda greens can get pretty quick depending on the time of year.
Getting there : From DFW Airport, take 183 to North Richland Hills and exit Central. Dead end at Pipeline and turn right. Drive about ½ mile to El Camino Real, and turn left into the apartment complex.

Got the job done
Course is simple and got the job done for an easy 9. As of September 1st they said they will no longer accept GolfNow bookings or Groupons. Seems they only want direct bookings only. Parking is in the middle of surrounding apartments and the pro shop is a bit out of the way with no immediate parking available.
Seems like a scam
On its face it’s a standard pitch and putt 9 hole beginner course you walk In 1 hour. But beware… I think they are scamming via golf now. He was trying to get me to pay again essentially. Such a weird thing to do when it only costs 15 dollars anyways. Either that or he doesn’t know how GolfNow works and needs to pull his course off the app. He also seemed like he was asleep in the back and rolled out of bed. Very rude and went on a rant about people not fixing their divits. He also went on about inexperienced golfers…. Dude… you are a 9 hole par 3 in the middle of a lower end apartment complex… what do you expect?? I would work on your game at a driving range instead.
Horrible
Everything about the course sucks, , literally EVERYTHING as of September 1,2025 they said they will not be honoring any golf app tee time bookings
I used to love this place, but now…..
1st offf the other day I had the rudest conversation on the phone with the staf member and I am pretty sure he is the same one who was there today. Let me tell you he is just as rude in person. He was sitting in front of clubhouse talking to others, I walk by and went into the clubhouse and just barks at me”May I Help You?” I said I had a 1030 tee time. He goes “Oh, GolfNow?” I said yes and he goes”That figures!” And he sits down and doesn’t say a thing . I stand there and then he goes “well do you know where the 1st hole is?” Never asked me for my name or anything. Enough about that.
I thought the course looked not bad until you got on the greens. The were the worst I have played on since Sunset was still open 15 years ago. And if you played Sunset you understand why it closed.
But the worst thing was there was no water to drink and it was hot. I stopped by the clubhouse after the 6th hole to get some Gatorade but the doors were locked. I think the guy working was going to bust some guy and a 7 yr old for not paying.
Horrible
It took 3 hours to play nine holes weighted every hole on people in front courses to crowded talked to people four other groups had the same tee time The greens are horrible way too many people save your money from what I understand they are no longer going to honor any type of golf now golf pass Groupon tee time anybody associated with discount golf they said it has ruined that place and I believe it
3 hrs for 9 holes
Way to crowded, greens are horrible and they are not going to honor any golf pass, golf now, Groupon,or Tee Time for booking tee times I arrived this morning and 4 other groups had the same Tee time .it is no fun Waiting 15 minutes to hit on every hole. No Marshall to speed slow players up , I don't recommend this place at all
OMG
I can not believe what happened. 1st off the map on here doesn’t take you to the course. So it was causing me to be late. I parked by the 1st hole and it was 5 minutes before tee time. Sign on 1st hole says all players must check in and then it gives a telephone number. So I called the number to see if I had to go to the pro shop or could I just join the group since it was almost time to tee off. The man who answered was easily the rudest person I have ever talked too. And he flat out hung up on me. So I did not play. I was so mad I was really worried if I stayi would cause a scene. So I just lost out on my fees. Worst customer service experience i have had in at least 10 years.
No golf carts it's all walking, bring your push cart!
Course layout wasn't bad and was actually in pretty good shape.
$4 charge to rent old outdated push carts. Parking not the best, you have to park along the street near the clubhouse then drive about a block away to the first tee and park in apartment complex parking lot
Nice 3-par Course
Overall, Westdale Hills is a pretty course for a very reasonable price. It would be really nice to have carts available.
Good Little Course
It was my second time to play there and it was a challenge but very fun. The tee boxes were in decent shape and most greens were as well. This course is great and forcing great wedge and some iron play.
A great par 3
Defiantly the course is go to work on my chip/short game
This course is a STEAL
Used a Groupon code to play with a pull carts included for only 11.25!! The course is great for a par 3 while also being challenging. Can’t really beat the price
$8 Golf Round
You would think it’s impossible to feel ripped off for paying $8 for a golf round before tax and fees. I walk 9 or 18 holes locally all the time and this course needs to manage pace of play. Would be a great little course if people didn’t take 30 minutes to play a 110 yd hole. Also the guy working inside is a gem lol
Decent course, lots of waking, terrible service
I’ve never been to a course where the front counter was so rude and disrespectful. The minute we walk in the door we were unwelcome. The old man at the counter acted like he didn’t even want our business because “it was going to rain” guess what? It didn’t rain the whole round. The course itself is In between an apartment complex and there are no golf carts so you have to walk everywhere uphill. The course is in good condition but the issue at the front desk makes me never want to go back here again.
Value for Money
Great time and challenge. Pace of play was tough because 9 holes took 2 hours for a par 3 course. Overall a good time.
Garbage
Greens are like putting on brussel sprouts, tee boxes non existent and 3 hrs to play 9 holes way too many people with no golf etiquette and not even basic skill to hit a ball
