About
Mansfield National Golf Club's tees range from 5,263 to 6,850 yards and the course plays to a par 72. The large, undulating greens make for inviting targets. The fairways are lined by every type of tree imaginable, with bunkers looming to suck in tee shots. Scores can add up on holes 11 and 16, with the lake coming into play, but water comes into play on only four holes total. The best hole is no. 5, considered one of the toughest par 3s in north Texas. It plays a very 3-wood-like 233 yards into a tough green that's hard to hold with the wind at your back. Located just south of Arlington Mansfield National also offers FootGolf, a combination of soccer and golf.

Decent for what it is
Overall not bad. But, greens are really slow and bumpy but rest of conditions are decent. Par 3 tee boxes are in tough shape but just small things there.
Fun track overall but back 9 is a little quirky.

A regular in my rotation.
Punched the greens at the beginning of June. When we played they were sanded heavily but starting to come through nicely. Made for a difficult round on the greens. Fairways and tee boxes were in fantastic shape considering recent heavy rain. The course conditions are always’ managed well. Only complaint is pace of play. Whether they overbook or just don’t care about pace. On the weekends expect an all day outing. It can easily creep up on the 5.5/6hr mark.

Beautiful course, pace of play needs help
I played here probably 3 times a month. Love the course. However there is always a pace of play problem. The round took me 5 1/2 hours yesterday. At one point we were backed up 3 tee times deep. I’m not the type of person to complain, but I’m hoping they improve this and make it the perfect south DFW course

Slow even on weekdays
Fun course. Hadn’t played here in a while since I normally play on weekends, and I don’t have the patience for the 5.5 hours that will entail. So I tried it on a weekday mid afternoon. Not much difference. I don’t know when Mansfield National became such a magnet for poor etiquette. I’m not great myself, but if you hit three times and advance the ball only 50 yards, pick up and move on. Hit the range.
My three recommendations for Mansfield National still stand:
1. Mow the edges more. People are going to look for the ball when they hit errant shots. Mowing the tall grass will help that go faster.
2. Space tee times out to 11-12 minutes between groups.
3. Have a marshal to stop the nonsense when a group of hackers is taking forever. No shame in being bad. But it’s a different story when bad golfers have no self awareness about their pace.

Great public course with nice greens
Really enjoyed this course. It has a good mix of playable holes with wide fairways and others that are narrow and have dog legs. Breakfast was great and staff was nice. On Tuesday mornings the range is closed for mowing it appeared so didn’t get to warm up prior to start.

Mansfield National - Consistent
This my home course so I like it. But, I felt like the range was in GREAT shape this time. Very plush for some iron practice. Always love the grill, great cooks in there. Beverage carts were awesome as usual. Pace was a little slower than I like but hey, they had I think 240 golfers out so it was a spectacular day to play golf with my best friend!
