Seaview - The Pines Course
About
The lesser known of the two 18-hole courses at the Seaview is the Pines Course. It originally started as a nine-hole course but another nine-hole course was added later and the two courses were eventually combined to form the Pines Course. The course has a par of 71 and it is 6,731 yards from the back tees.
Seaview's Pine Course doesn't provide scenic views but it does offer a good game. Some even prefer the Pines course because of its quiet location behind the resort's hotel and also because of its more challenging features. The golf course has tight fairways lined with trees, medium-sized greens that are undulating, and strategically placed bunkers.

Golfer Reviews
Fine course winding thru the woods.
Everything was fine enjoyed the round. Con was fairways went directly from nice cut to 3 inch plus rough, no transition what so ever. Rough is much to thick for mid handicaps and actually slows down play.
Great Layout - needs some attention to detail
second time playing this course - really like the variety of the holes. Greens except for one were in great shape and fairways overall were good/fair however the bunkers are a disaster. Way too many and too big and they dont drain. Need to put some $ into this course. Also way too much water on cart paths (and it was cart path only). Pace of play was just over 3 hours which was awesome. Might also want to add GPS to the carts as there are a number of sharp doglegs and some blind shots (bunkers you cant see). This would help with pace and enjoyment of the course as it winds its way through the pines.
Greens and Fairways excellent condition, Bunkers had a large quantity of grass growing in them and unkept. Cart paths were full of pot holes, did not make it any better that the day we played was cart path only. The chipping green and practice green that is connected to Seaview at the Marriott Vacation club is the worst I have ever seen. $9 for half a bucket of balls with no choice for a large bucket is a rip off.
Nice course
The course was in good shape and the staff was excellent. The traps were over watered and didn't play like sand. Considering the heat, I would have expected to see more holes with drinking water access. There were also less ball washes than I remembered. Play moved well. I played late morning because I felt the price was too high, earlier in the day, for the Pine course.
Disappointed Return
We have played the Seaview courses several times over the past few years, and my wife prefers the Pine Course. While the course overall was in pretty good shape with true rolling greens, most bunkers had not been raked in weeks and had grass growing in them. This was totally unexpected and uncharacteristic for this course. The cart path was also in need of repair in many areas. We enjoy the layout and challenge of the course, and will return to see if things improve.
The course was cart path only and pace of play was very good.
Great Greens, Everything else is Good
Greens are some of the best I’ve played. Very true and straight, well maintained, little to no defects. Impressive. The rest of the course is just good, not great. Fairways good, rough is good, but there are definitely some areas right off the greens and fairways that are unplayable rough patches I did not expect in a $150+ tee time. Expected more in upkeep, but when greens are that good, it’s hard to complain.
Sand traps are either fluffy or a lot no sand at all
