Greens are much much better than befire
Closeness to me and good layout makes this place good to play but bunkers are mostly rock hard and many spots in the fairway have grass 4-5-6 in tall that makes you feel like US open conditions. Yes sand is expensive but if they are raked, it could be much better
Fun layout
Sunday July 19th around 12 noon. The Open, World Cup and it was hot. All happening on the same day so the course was empty. Played a very causal pace with a foursome and finished in 4 hrs.
Overall course conditions were fine. Tee boxes are good, fairways had some bald spots but overall ok, greens were on the slow side but were relatively smooth, Traps were pretty firm like many munis are.
No cart..
No cart cuz Electric power problem.. I need refund cuz didn't play.. still no refund..
OVERCHARGING!! No Senior Discount to OC players!!!!
1. Overcharging and Overbooking for reg. Muni public course !( no wonder why is 6 hours per 1 round!!!)
2. No senior discount for OC seniors players ! ( only allow to play la seniors OVER 65 years Old !!!! -this is Age Discrimination!!!). Everywhere in Southern California honor 55 years senior discount for Muni - public courses.
3. Back 9 for morning round is almost $30!!!! Used to be $15 couples years ago! Who can play $27~29 only for 9 holes(walking rate)???? $15~18 is fair back 9 rate for week days to encourage to play more seniors to improve their health !!!
4. Need to LOWER rate and change Senior Discount Policy!!!(Give all SAME Senior Discount rate to All players if are over 55 years old!!!). Thanks in advance for your attention!
Course and greens
Most of your lies in the fairway our pretty bare.They could be much better . The greens are pretty good, no complaints there.
Slow Pace in Afternoon
Course condition was great, but pace of play was long. Started at 2:04pm and ended at 7:30pm. Over 5 hours. They have 8 minute tee times, so I understand that in the afternoon it’s going to be slow
Fairway dried and hardened
Rare to make/observe divots with decent shots because the fairway is so hard like concrete. Guess they need to water them more.
Price is too high WEEKDAY in the afternoon!
1.Need a lot of discount prices (M~Th) around $30~35 to able to play more.
2. Need WALKING RATE Option from Golfnow Reservation to able to walk instead of Cart.
3. Senior rate in Orange County is 55 years , it’s ilegal that La Mirada GC makes 65 years cutline for Senior Discount!!!!! Pls. Do not ask proof of personal info. And Lower and Accept OC Senior rate. There are thousands OC senior players who live Buena Park, Fullerton ,Brea Etc… (near to La Mirada GC)
